Daniel Franco
Everyone. And welcome back to the Creating Synergy podcast. My name is Daniel Franco, and today we have one half of the most popular twins in Australian reality TV. Alisa Fraser more commonly known as Alisa and Lysandra, the twins shot to fame when they first appeared on our TV screens in Channel Nine's The BLOCK Sky High in 2013. During their time on the BLOCK, they proved very early on that they were a force to be reckoned with, eventually winning the series and taking our top prize on auction day, profiting a tidy $395,000 in 2014.
00:00:45:29 - 00:01:20:05
Daniel Franco
They they're asked to come back and star in the block. Fan versus favorites. And true to their natural style, they brought back their design flair and naturally entertaining personalities. The joys were eventually runners up, however, still managed to take home over 600,000 in prize money. So Pride of the BLOCK. Elisa and her sister Cassandra had a successful career in the police force, but as their profile grew from strength to strength, they decided to hand in their badges to pursue their dream of becoming interior designers and created the business Annalisa and Alexandra Interiors.
00:01:20:07 - 00:01:54:00
Daniel Franco
The business then went from strength to strength even further, fueled by their 215,000 Instagram followers. And like all great entrepreneurs, they saw a gap in the market leading them to create luxury home care brand, a live body. They decided that launching in the height of COVID 2020 lockdowns was a good idea. However, somehow it paid off in dividends with the business just being three years old and they are turning over approximately 20 million in revenue per year and is gaining more and more momentum each day and could potentially become the next Australian business unicorn.
00:01:54:06 - 00:02:22:03
Daniel Franco
So today, Elisa, CEO of Alive Body shares with us her roller coaster story that seen rapid growth fueled by many sleepless nights. It's a story of resilience and tenacity mixed with innovation, flair and elegance, not to mention a little bit of chaos. And if her business acumen wasn't impressive enough, Elisa has also been recognized for exceptional leadership and innovation, recently being awarded the first amongst Equals Award in the Indaily 40 under 40 awards.
00:02:22:06 - 00:02:42:27
Daniel Franco
And they also took out the Smart Company 2023 Rising Star Award. So buckle up as we explore the life and insights of one of Australia's most dynamic entrepreneurs, Elisa Fraser. Welcome back to the Creating Synergy Podcast. Today we have a human being by the name of Elisa Fraser. I got that.
00:02:42:27 - 00:02:43:20
Alisa Fraser
Right, that right.
00:02:43:20 - 00:03:13:29
Daniel Franco
Well done. Welcome to the show. Thank you. People may know Elisa as a the sister of Alessandra or the other way around. Alessandra is the sister of Ellie, but you guys from place offices to the two time representation on the on the block, the reality TV show, The BLOCK where you won one of them and came second, the other one taking over at home over everything.
00:03:13:29 - 00:03:18:04
Daniel Franco
It was about 900,000 in winnings or something like that.
00:03:18:07 - 00:03:19:10
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, it was over a million.
00:03:19:13 - 00:03:19:26
Daniel Franco
Over.
00:03:19:26 - 00:03:22:18
Alisa Fraser
Me. Yeah. Brilliant. Just over a million.
00:03:22:20 - 00:03:41:22
Daniel Franco
Yeah. Fabulous. Then going on to starting your own interior design company that morphed into a live body, which now I think it's got the potential to become Australia's next unicorn. And recently, individually, you were awarded the first among equals in the industry. 40 under 40 awards. Well done.
00:03:41:24 - 00:03:42:27
Alisa Fraser
Well, thank you guys.
00:03:42:27 - 00:04:10:01
Daniel Franco
On your career, things did have a head wobble. I, I like to start the podcast really from well before anyone knew who Elisa was or Elisa or Alessandra. So I would really like to dive back into your earliest context, understanding who the person was, your childhood and the story of your childhood and how you came to be sitting here today.
00:04:10:04 - 00:04:31:24
Alisa Fraser
So we grew up with a single mother who we didn't have anything to do with our father growing up. Yeah, And did he leave? Yeah, it was always a bit of an unsaid thing. And Mum decided early on that she didn't want him in allies because he had had previous children and was in and out of their lives.
00:04:31:24 - 00:04:53:08
Alisa Fraser
So she made that decision early on to protect us from that. And you know, I chose not to get child support or having as have his involvement in that way, which, you know, looking back was the best thing she could have done. He tried to into our lives later on in life when she came up after the day after we won the block.
00:04:53:08 - 00:04:57:24
Alisa Fraser
Okay. So, yeah, no, that was that was certainly.
00:04:57:24 - 00:05:00:16
Daniel Franco
So you had not spoken to him up until then or before then?
00:05:00:17 - 00:05:15:18
Alisa Fraser
I had reached out to him prior to getting onto the block, prior to actually getting accepted onto the block, because I knew we were going to get on. And he's got a lot. My intuition in life is just and I knew we were going to get on it, but I also knew that we were going to win, which is just weird.
00:05:15:18 - 00:05:35:22
Alisa Fraser
It's not an arrogance thing. It was just intuition. And I remember knowing who he was and trying to find. He lived in WA at the time. I knew he was a real estate agent and I tracked him down by his name and reached out to him and I didn't hear anything back. I really kind of said, I'm getting older.
00:05:35:22 - 00:05:52:08
Alisa Fraser
I'd like to know a little bit more about you. And yeah, I reached out and had nothing back from him. And the reason I reached out is because I knew we were going onto the block and you can't win. And I needed to know his intentions. Yeah. And Lazaro didn't have the same feeling that.
00:05:52:08 - 00:05:57:11
Daniel Franco
I had no need for the connection to Father.
00:05:57:13 - 00:05:57:21
Alisa Fraser
Did your.
00:05:57:21 - 00:05:58:29
Daniel Franco
Mother remarry?
00:05:58:29 - 00:06:11:19
Alisa Fraser
And she did later on when we were 16. But I think you just don't know what you don't know. And I mean, I think being girls as well as probably a little bit different, I think if we were boys, we may have felt a little bit more. Mm.
00:06:11:22 - 00:06:17:25
Daniel Franco
I got two girls and like that. Yeah. I'm like the closer. Yeah.
00:06:17:28 - 00:06:29:20
Alisa Fraser
So anyway yeah I after winning the block, I was in Sydney, in Sydney and walking on the beach and got an email saying, Oh I'd love to connect. And I was like delete.
00:06:29:22 - 00:06:30:24
Daniel Franco
Because she would.
00:06:30:27 - 00:06:36:27
Alisa Fraser
Delay. And he's tried a few other times, but you know, it's not that she's not interested, I'm not interested.
00:06:37:01 - 00:06:44:03
Daniel Franco
So what a remarkable human being your mother is raising to two beautiful young girls all the way through.
00:06:44:04 - 00:06:52:02
Alisa Fraser
Well, so, yeah, it was. I really didn't have much family support. Well, no family support, really. So they.
00:06:52:02 - 00:06:53:15
Daniel Franco
Weren't together. They weren't.
00:06:53:15 - 00:06:58:00
Alisa Fraser
Married. It was like a bit of a, you know, accident. Yeah.
00:06:58:03 - 00:06:58:29
Daniel Franco
Something they shouldn't have.
00:06:58:29 - 00:07:05:01
Alisa Fraser
And I use protection to say, you know. Well you make them. Yeah, well it's a.
00:07:05:03 - 00:07:08:26
Daniel Franco
Good mistake to make right. Yeah. According to you. Yeah.
00:07:08:29 - 00:07:29:29
Alisa Fraser
And so we grew up with mum and you know, she didn't have much support, we didn't have much money growing up. We moved up. We lived in public housing. Yeah, Yeah. A mum started a business when we were two and it was a second hand baby store, new and secondhand record. My mother's cupboard. All right, beautiful. And we.
00:07:30:01 - 00:07:44:26
Alisa Fraser
She had that for 22 years, maybe even. Yeah, I'm 23 and so we grew up in business. We grew up every weekend going garaging for baby needs, gardening was coach trips, cars. You know, the the the.
00:07:44:26 - 00:07:45:10
Daniel Franco
Market's.
00:07:45:10 - 00:07:53:06
Alisa Fraser
There. Yeah. Yeah. Trust and treasure. Yeah. Yeah. In the old days. Yeah, yeah. Trash and treasure. And we would, like, have our eyes peeled for babies.
00:07:53:09 - 00:07:54:00
Daniel Franco
Putting a bag.
00:07:54:00 - 00:08:03:10
Alisa Fraser
Over there, and then we would all carry it to the van and then start again. And, you know, we spent every weekend in the back of the shop and that's. Yeah, it was, you know.
00:08:03:10 - 00:08:17:17
Daniel Franco
There's, there's an actual stat around that if your parents were involved in a business or an entrepreneur of their own right. Yeah. Then the child is I think is 90% more likely to become an owner or run their own business?
00:08:17:21 - 00:08:36:20
Alisa Fraser
It doesn't surprise me at all. And at the time it wasn't the funnest thing as a kid, you know, like we had two squash boxes and like it was it was to be sitting in the back of the shop on a weekend, but it was what it was. And I think now in hindsight, I think it was the best thing that could have happened to us.
00:08:36:20 - 00:08:59:25
Alisa Fraser
But life certainly wasn't easy. It was, you know, I'm weren't bought off. And I think saving grace and all of our childhoods would was the fact that we were just so involved in sport. And that was our life was sport. We played netball initially and then we went to Brighton higher in the special volleyball program and then got into that pretty competitively.
00:08:59:28 - 00:09:08:06
Daniel Franco
And it's another love of mine. I am a firm believer that those who have played sport have the like. I just feel like it.
00:09:08:07 - 00:09:08:26
Alisa Fraser
You learn so much.
00:09:09:01 - 00:09:10:22
Daniel Franco
From leadership skills.
00:09:10:25 - 00:09:12:20
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, never giving up.
00:09:12:22 - 00:09:13:23
Daniel Franco
Working hard, working.
00:09:13:23 - 00:09:14:19
Alisa Fraser
As a team, as a team.
00:09:14:20 - 00:09:15:24
Daniel Franco
Attaining goals.
00:09:15:24 - 00:09:34:28
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, well, visualization love up. And then I actually where I got good at my visualization was I played for CSC volleyball. Yep. And beach volleyball. And we did a lot of like mental training in relation to yeah, how your mind works and utilizing.
00:09:34:28 - 00:09:37:23
Daniel Franco
Did you say down Henley Beach there then obsessive.
00:09:37:25 - 00:09:40:00
Alisa Fraser
Yes. Yeah that with Henley it.
00:09:40:00 - 00:09:42:04
Daniel Franco
Was the MONTEFIORE I think it.
00:09:42:07 - 00:09:51:01
Alisa Fraser
Really was. I can't remember the other town um, behind like off of Tbilisi Road. Okay. I forget the suburb.
00:09:51:03 - 00:09:52:22
Daniel Franco
I lived in for three months.
00:09:52:27 - 00:09:54:04
Alisa Fraser
You did? Yeah. Yeah.
00:09:54:06 - 00:10:00:18
Daniel Franco
Well, it was cricket. I was playing cricket, but yes, a sport was a big thing. But Cecil Field run a really great program.
00:10:00:18 - 00:10:02:12
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, it was. It was great. The South.
00:10:02:12 - 00:10:05:15
Daniel Franco
Australian Sports Institute, for those who don't know money.
00:10:05:17 - 00:10:17:29
Alisa Fraser
Actually. And then yeah, we I guess started working at a young age. I think we were 12 when we got our first job. We were volleyball umpires, I think.
00:10:18:01 - 00:10:22:29
Daniel Franco
So. So your mum's business did that. When did that stop or start? Like, Oh.
00:10:23:01 - 00:10:29:02
Alisa Fraser
So we were two and I think, well that went for 22 years or something. Oh wow. Okay. 24.
00:10:29:09 - 00:10:31:00
Daniel Franco
Okay, so majority.
00:10:31:03 - 00:10:33:13
Alisa Fraser
Of childhood. Well, all of our childhood. Yeah.
00:10:33:14 - 00:10:38:24
Daniel Franco
Yeah. So the other part you said earlier, which was we didn't get much support from the rest of the family.
00:10:38:24 - 00:10:47:19
Alisa Fraser
Why? Look, my mum has come from a very dysfunctional family, okay? And doesn't have anything to do with.
00:10:47:21 - 00:10:51:18
Daniel Franco
Okay, So she was quite literally on her own with her three children.
00:10:51:20 - 00:11:08:28
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. And she had twins on a hill. Yeah, I know that. And I remember one time, like she saying, she said to us that, you know, it's hard enough as it is, let alone with to, let alone being by yourself. And there's just one time where she just wasn't coping and she had to drive to the hospital because she didn't have anyone.
00:11:08:28 - 00:11:18:09
Alisa Fraser
And she said, You need to take my babies before I do something stupid. Oh, really? And that's how bad it got. Like, Yeah, and that's how little help she had. Mm.
00:11:18:15 - 00:11:21:22
Daniel Franco
I can drive someone insane. Yeah.
00:11:21:25 - 00:11:23:17
Alisa Fraser
So. Yeah.
00:11:23:20 - 00:11:24:28
Daniel Franco
How old were you when that happened?
00:11:25:00 - 00:11:29:19
Alisa Fraser
Oh, we would have been babies. Yeah. Yeah. You know, when I don't stop crying. Yeah.
00:11:29:19 - 00:11:30:17
Daniel Franco
And you kind of figure out.
00:11:30:21 - 00:11:37:24
Alisa Fraser
Have any sleep? No way. No, We probably woke each other up and, uh. Yeah, so.
00:11:37:26 - 00:11:43:12
Daniel Franco
I know, I know people going through some pain with twins, and I've got a partner, so I couldn't.
00:11:43:18 - 00:11:48:03
Alisa Fraser
Oh, I can't imagine. It's hard enough your husband with one child.
00:11:48:03 - 00:11:49:14
Daniel Franco
Because you looking at. You've got.
00:11:49:14 - 00:11:52:08
Alisa Fraser
To. I've got two boys. Two boys, seven and 12.
00:11:52:08 - 00:11:55:02
Daniel Franco
Seven and 12. And your sister's got she's.
00:11:55:02 - 00:12:09:07
Alisa Fraser
Got two boys, two. We now live next to each other. Yeah. No, you and I going to live next to each other. And they are 12 and 13 turning 14. Okay. Yeah.
00:12:09:09 - 00:12:11:11
Daniel Franco
Didn't want to get away from you.
00:12:11:16 - 00:12:12:18
Alisa Fraser
11. Do you like.
00:12:12:18 - 00:12:17:17
Daniel Franco
Being close to your sister all the time or working with a living next to it?
00:12:17:19 - 00:12:23:10
Alisa Fraser
You know, are living next to each other is really good. Yeah. Like I went out for dinner last night with the husband and just.
00:12:23:12 - 00:12:24:27
Daniel Franco
And she's got beautiful.
00:12:24:28 - 00:12:40:14
Alisa Fraser
The thing is, she just pops over and checks on them, huh? You know, like, so it's so it's really good. Initially we were like, I think it's going to be good, but we're not in each other's faces all the time. The kids play with each other.
00:12:40:19 - 00:12:44:12
Daniel Franco
It's because you build them together. Those two. Yeah. And you film that along?
00:12:44:12 - 00:12:48:17
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. It's final series episode, uh, is this week.
00:12:48:17 - 00:12:51:01
Daniel Franco
So what's the. It's design duo?
00:12:51:02 - 00:13:12:17
Alisa Fraser
So it's twin versus twin. So we bought a block of land subdivided at exactly the same square meter each but complete completely the same on the outside and completely different on the inside. I went lot Aryan she went really dark medium and each week like and we had to have a we had a twin off and then people get to fight who their favorite is.
00:13:12:19 - 00:13:13:18
Daniel Franco
Who's winning.
00:13:13:21 - 00:13:17:23
Alisa Fraser
Mate. They still got one. She can still come home with a draw.
00:13:17:29 - 00:13:23:07
Daniel Franco
Well, that's brilliant. It does get much viewership.
00:13:23:10 - 00:13:26:09
Alisa Fraser
Yes. Had the series has been epic. Yeah.
00:13:26:09 - 00:13:26:21
Daniel Franco
Wow.
00:13:26:21 - 00:13:34:11
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, it's just on YouTube. Yep, Just on YouTuber. A full production. My talking $100,000 production. Yeah. Wow. Well.
00:13:34:14 - 00:13:36:24
Daniel Franco
It's what brought this on. Was it an idea? Someone floated.
00:13:36:24 - 00:13:50:01
Alisa Fraser
We've done three of these. Okay, so we did a development back in 2008 where the idea for a light body actually came about, and we've done another client, one in Queensland, and then this one with.
00:13:50:01 - 00:13:50:19
Daniel Franco
Your own home.
00:13:50:20 - 00:13:51:12
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
00:13:51:14 - 00:13:54:08
Daniel Franco
Does it annoy you that people can see in your home and what you've done.
00:13:54:10 - 00:13:59:10
Alisa Fraser
That doesn't, you know, we're interior designers, We used to sharing our work and.
00:13:59:10 - 00:14:00:08
Daniel Franco
You want them to see that.
00:14:00:09 - 00:14:03:12
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. Yeah, it's it's been epic.
00:14:03:14 - 00:14:09:00
Daniel Franco
I dare say when you're on camera and it's your own home, the budget might have blown out a little bit.
00:14:09:02 - 00:14:16:00
Alisa Fraser
Yes, yes, yes. But I just keep thinking about how much value we've added to the house That makes me feel better.
00:14:16:03 - 00:14:17:14
Daniel Franco
So it's of whatever you want.
00:14:17:14 - 00:14:19:25
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
00:14:19:27 - 00:14:21:11
Daniel Franco
Right. So let's go back.
00:14:21:11 - 00:14:22:03
Alisa Fraser
You're.
00:14:22:06 - 00:14:33:20
Daniel Franco
You're getting jobs as volleyball, kids in volleyball plans, sport. Where do you go from like, at some point you decide. I want to. I want to get into the place. Yeah.
00:14:33:22 - 00:14:40:27
Alisa Fraser
Well story. So it was not it always wanted to join the place was an on and I just always wanted to.
00:14:40:29 - 00:14:42:02
Daniel Franco
Since a justice or.
00:14:42:03 - 00:14:49:26
Alisa Fraser
I don't I, I, I think it's just you know in the I strong woman I guess it's probably something that you gravitate towards and you.
00:14:49:28 - 00:14:50:08
Daniel Franco
Just.
00:14:50:08 - 00:15:15:28
Alisa Fraser
Well so I she went off and did the whole traveling thing after school which I really regret not doing. So she went to England and then eight and then she went to Camp America and I think I had a boyfriend at the stage and I didn't do a lot. That's probably my biggest regret in life. And so then she did that, my stay at home and and worked and I became a personal trainer.
00:15:16:00 - 00:15:34:06
Alisa Fraser
And then I was like, I can't do this for the rest of my life. What am I going to do? Oh, I'll just copy her. Why not? And then I tried out a few times actually back in the day when I, you know, didn't need it. People like it's changed a lot now. I think I just accept anyone.
00:15:34:06 - 00:15:34:23
Alisa Fraser
To be honest.
00:15:34:23 - 00:15:35:17
Daniel Franco
I need.
00:15:35:20 - 00:15:36:04
Alisa Fraser
Um.
00:15:36:09 - 00:15:40:13
Daniel Franco
So they're in that they're in a bit of trouble. Yeah. In regards to recruitment, yeah.
00:15:40:15 - 00:15:42:15
Alisa Fraser
Back in the day, it was hard to get in. Yeah.
00:15:42:15 - 00:15:45:03
Daniel Franco
And why do you think it's changed?
00:15:45:06 - 00:15:48:17
Alisa Fraser
Well, it's changed. It's easy to get in because. Well, why are people leaving?
00:15:48:19 - 00:15:53:21
Daniel Franco
Why do you think the narrative is changed about, like, how did they get in? And it seems.
00:15:53:21 - 00:15:59:12
Alisa Fraser
Well, I think that retention, they're not holding their Yeah, they're not holding this off.
00:15:59:12 - 00:16:01:15
Daniel Franco
Is the world a worse place them.
00:16:01:17 - 00:16:05:14
Alisa Fraser
Like it's just it's a wait shower isn't it's about how you make your.
00:16:05:16 - 00:16:07:11
Daniel Franco
Your talk and cultural. Yeah yeah.
00:16:07:14 - 00:16:10:21
Alisa Fraser
Okay yeah let's not go there so it's a.
00:16:10:21 - 00:16:11:08
Daniel Franco
Whole new.
00:16:11:08 - 00:16:29:17
Alisa Fraser
As a whole. Not good. Yep. I don't want to go down down that path, but at the end of the day, if people are leaving, people have to ask the question. Ask ourselves why? I think what's spent more money on recruiting than you do actually keeping yourself happy. Yeah. Yeah. I and the other hard job.
00:16:29:19 - 00:16:34:11
Daniel Franco
The other problem is that they can't recruit from the state, right. Either.
00:16:34:13 - 00:16:43:17
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, well, I can't do that. But then looking at recruiting from overseas again. Okay, Um, but look, I think a.
00:16:43:19 - 00:16:45:11
Daniel Franco
How long were you in place of.
00:16:45:13 - 00:16:46:17
Alisa Fraser
Seven and a half years.
00:16:46:22 - 00:16:48:10
Daniel Franco
What rank did you get to say?
00:16:48:10 - 00:16:59:05
Alisa Fraser
Uh oh. Do we get to see anybody? We all qualify. It's a nickname, but you have to be in the place for a certain amount of time before you get out. But we were qualified.
00:16:59:07 - 00:17:00:09
Daniel Franco
Did you enjoy your time there?
00:17:00:14 - 00:17:15:12
Alisa Fraser
So I did. We did. For the first. Probably three years. Shift work can really take its toll on you and it's not for everybody. And I just think systems and processes and like I reckon when you arrested someone you had to write their name 30 times.
00:17:15:12 - 00:17:16:06
Daniel Franco
Yeah, Well.
00:17:16:08 - 00:17:39:04
Alisa Fraser
And it just, it felt like it was just becoming paperwork and the enjoyment of the job did start to Yeah. Started to dissipate and um, whether I'd still be there now if it wasn't for all of this, I'm not sure. But look, it's, it's, it's a good secure job. I just think, you know, it's.
00:17:39:04 - 00:17:40:02
Daniel Franco
Not for you. Well, it.
00:17:40:02 - 00:17:41:25
Alisa Fraser
Wasn't for us. What?
00:17:41:28 - 00:17:45:15
Daniel Franco
There would have been some really critical learnings that you took out of that.
00:17:45:15 - 00:18:07:23
Alisa Fraser
Though 100%. And I think I don't 100% don't regret our time in the police force. There's parts of me that definitely miss it. Yeah, hundred percent. Um, but it's the shift where it takes its toll on you too. But yes, you learn, you learn so many life skills and I think as well, going on to the blog, that's certainly helped us with.
00:18:07:25 - 00:18:08:25
Daniel Franco
Giving with the shit.
00:18:08:28 - 00:18:21:03
Alisa Fraser
Dealing just, just dealing with stress, dealing with like the, like obviously shift work. You're up from crazy hours anyway. And yeah, just dealing with hard situations.
00:18:21:06 - 00:18:26:08
Daniel Franco
What what is there is there anything that you remember from your time in the police force that.
00:18:26:08 - 00:18:51:28
Alisa Fraser
You go, Oh, you could write a book. Yeah. Like, honestly, the stories is just like when I reflect back, like it is such a diverse job. Like, yeah, you never know what you're going Oh, is it's part. It's. Give us one. Oh, So listen, I don't know. I work together. One on nightshift. Yeah. And she was like, I think she was a floater after she'd had kids.
00:18:51:28 - 00:19:05:02
Alisa Fraser
Like she floated between teams. Yeah. And it was we got so noisy potty. Yeah. And we, we were like, he ordered the strip.
00:19:05:04 - 00:19:07:21
Daniel Franco
Oh, no.
00:19:07:24 - 00:19:12:24
Alisa Fraser
And we're like, we're not like, hey, you know. Well, no, no, no, we're not.
00:19:12:24 - 00:19:13:26
Daniel Franco
We're not stressing place.
00:19:13:26 - 00:19:29:09
Alisa Fraser
You turn the music down, don't make us come back on the. Oh, that was pretty funny. Oh, very good. But I didn't really like working with it because I was like, just like, I didn't wanna have to worry about it in case, like, went to a job. And. Were you ever.
00:19:29:14 - 00:19:30:16
Daniel Franco
Fearful of your in life.
00:19:30:16 - 00:19:56:02
Alisa Fraser
In any. Oh, look, there were some times where it was a bit sketchy. Yeah, I mean, I remember there was an off job and, uh. Yeah, you. Yeah, yeah. Different world. You get spat on the moment got out of the habit. Yeah, I was swimming myself. Got to go get testing and. Yeah, yeah, it was. It was certainly it's.
00:19:56:02 - 00:19:56:26
Daniel Franco
A thankless job.
00:19:56:28 - 00:20:05:29
Alisa Fraser
It's, yeah, it's interesting. And I don't mean to turn people you. I'm doing that I think. But I think you just have to going.
00:20:06:04 - 00:20:17:12
Daniel Franco
Oh I'm of the belief that it's an absolute necessity and we need more people to think about that as their career because with Adam we're much less safe.
00:20:17:12 - 00:20:34:15
Alisa Fraser
100% we do. And I just that's why I go back to just that whole you need to make it a nice place. It's not a nice, you know. Yeah. You know, arresting crooks, the culture you need, that's what keeps people that's what keeps families. We attract.
00:20:34:15 - 00:20:35:26
Daniel Franco
People. Yeah.
00:20:35:29 - 00:20:56:27
Alisa Fraser
And I think I'm even more of the opinion now because I run a business. Yeah. And how important and important it is to keep your staff happy, because to replace that person takes time and money with that down. And it's bad for culture. Obviously, if they're not performing, that's another story. But yeah.
00:20:57:00 - 00:21:12:26
Daniel Franco
So you mentioned earlier that you were you knew you going to you play for the block, you knew you were going to get in. What what made you do it? Did you actually think at the time when you're doing the application and who who was the one that was we.
00:21:12:26 - 00:21:19:26
Alisa Fraser
Both did because we we sat down and watched the previous series and they had won a shit ton of money. Yeah.
00:21:19:28 - 00:21:21:07
Daniel Franco
So was the money that it.
00:21:21:08 - 00:21:32:26
Alisa Fraser
Was money, but I was the maths block fan. I watched every single episode, every single series, and then I would go to bed going, I saw would have done X, Y and Z if I was them. And then I would like.
00:21:32:29 - 00:21:36:13
Daniel Franco
Yeah, Do you know how many times my wife has tried to get me to apply for that thing?
00:21:36:16 - 00:21:39:06
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, I bet you know how many times I hear that.
00:21:39:09 - 00:21:42:07
Daniel Franco
And I just. I just go, Yeah, not for me.
00:21:42:12 - 00:21:45:24
Alisa Fraser
I don't think I. 40,000 people or something. It's ridiculous.
00:21:45:27 - 00:21:50:25
Daniel Franco
Warren. I actually believe my relationship with my wife would last forever.
00:21:50:28 - 00:21:55:12
Alisa Fraser
If I did it with my husband, we would 1,000% be divorced.
00:21:55:15 - 00:21:59:07
Daniel Franco
I just like, why would you want to put themselves in that position? It doesn't make sense unless.
00:21:59:07 - 00:22:01:10
Alisa Fraser
You want a divorce. And that's.
00:22:01:13 - 00:22:11:24
Daniel Franco
Actually now. So where are we at then? So you apply and did like, you know, why did you know?
00:22:11:27 - 00:22:19:03
Alisa Fraser
Because I'm not psychic. That's going a bit far. But I have a really strong intuition.
00:22:19:06 - 00:22:21:15
Daniel Franco
B Yeah, and this is like.
00:22:21:17 - 00:22:44:03
Alisa Fraser
Now the video, now the video. I just knew I just you were even down to the auction or you had. We had to at the end. Lucky dip the auction order. Yeah. And whatever this we needed one number we needed and there was five of us and we needed to go fast and acetyl is on a no no, let me do it.
00:22:44:03 - 00:23:10:10
Alisa Fraser
Let me do it. And I felt around and I went by to and from and I took about a minute and I felt the number one and picked it out. It was number one. Yeah. And that really dictate it. The whole process. Like we only won by $4,000, but we see one and it was all because of the auction order.
00:23:10:13 - 00:23:18:05
Alisa Fraser
Well, our house is great, but, you know, it could have been a different story. Yeah, I can't explain it.
00:23:18:08 - 00:23:20:14
Daniel Franco
Yeah. Wow. So.
00:23:20:16 - 00:23:38:23
Alisa Fraser
But even still, I remember sitting at Sipo in the intelligence section and going, sitting there going, I know I'm not. This is not for me. And I know there's something better out there. Better and bigger. That's a plan for my life. I just don't know what I am. Yeah.
00:23:38:25 - 00:23:59:11
Daniel Franco
That's your. Your visualization. Do you? Did you ever think that it could turn into what it is now, though? Like, did you ever think, you know, we go on the blog, we make some money, open our own design studio, do this, do that, or did you just go? Did you honestly think that you were going back to the police force after?
00:23:59:13 - 00:24:20:09
Alisa Fraser
So we went in honestly with no pre conceived idea. Yeah, we went in on to win some money. Yeah. We didn't go on for the fame. We didn't go on as a lot of people do now, just thinking they're going to get something from it. It was literally, let's go on, let's have a really good time, give us give it our best.
00:24:20:09 - 00:24:35:21
Alisa Fraser
And then we went on to one of the judges said the girls need to do you girls need to do this for a career? Yeah. And I was like, if she's saying if China is saying that, then she believes enough's enough then. And I've got this burning passion for design now, that one.
00:24:35:21 - 00:24:37:10
Daniel Franco
Oh, she's been a massive influence.
00:24:37:14 - 00:24:39:07
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, she has. She really has.
00:24:39:07 - 00:24:39:28
Daniel Franco
You catch up with her?
00:24:40:01 - 00:24:46:01
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. We only saw her the other way at the. We did a tour of the block with a very good kitchen and. Yeah, Yeah.
00:24:46:07 - 00:24:47:15
Daniel Franco
Do you still watch it?
00:24:47:17 - 00:24:59:21
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, On and off. I'm so bloody busy these days that I know. I used to sit down and watch every night, but to be honest, I kind of haven't watched it for probably.
00:24:59:23 - 00:25:00:08
Daniel Franco
Any of the ones.
00:25:00:08 - 00:25:04:14
Alisa Fraser
That you're on. Always watch them.
00:25:04:16 - 00:25:09:08
Daniel Franco
So reality TV has its secrets. Can you share anything? Is there anything in the background?
00:25:09:10 - 00:25:26:15
Alisa Fraser
That's the thing, like the bloke we thought we would get on, we thought at least they're going to tell us where to shop. Where in Melbourne? We don't know our way around. They don't tell you what shops to shop at. Oh really? Now we thought they would fade us. We thought that there would be showers. We thought that they would actually somewhat look after us.
00:25:26:17 - 00:25:47:06
Alisa Fraser
None of that. Oh really? Not now. They get McDonald's and they get you foods and they get We had nothing. We went seven days without showering and use baby wipes only. And we didn't I didn't even get greasy because there was so much sawdust in our hair and plaster and we had to go down to the local aquatic center and shower.
00:25:47:09 - 00:25:48:29
Daniel Franco
Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Seven days.
00:25:48:29 - 00:26:05:15
Alisa Fraser
Seven days. And we were literally working until 3:00 every single morning and up at 6 a.m. for 17 weeks. And then then on the last day of the week, it was like 48 hours, you know, it was not healthy but.
00:26:05:18 - 00:26:10:25
Daniel Franco
But seven days, it's like surely not feeling comfortable at all?
00:26:10:27 - 00:26:14:18
Alisa Fraser
No. Like. Like no. But why? Why?
00:26:14:18 - 00:26:18:13
Daniel Franco
Why couldn't you just go on night one and just go somewhere fresh out?
00:26:18:15 - 00:26:21:05
Alisa Fraser
Because we didn't have any working showers anyway.
00:26:21:06 - 00:26:23:24
Daniel Franco
Now. But you can go to. I mean, you went to the local.
00:26:23:26 - 00:26:43:22
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. You don't have time. You don't have time. You do not have time. Los Angeles, ten kilos. I went on probably to Skinny anyway and I lost five because there was no time to eat. Oh really? It was. Go, go, go, go, go. The last thing you have to do is worry about showering or eating.
00:26:43:24 - 00:26:45:03
Daniel Franco
How much sleep you get.
00:26:45:05 - 00:26:45:27
Alisa Fraser
3 hours a night.
00:26:46:05 - 00:26:48:16
Daniel Franco
Really, for three months.
00:26:48:18 - 00:27:07:11
Alisa Fraser
And then when it was the removal, so you'd review every Sunday, you wouldn't sleep from Friday to Sunday and then we would finish the removals would have to go down to the park and do our end of week filming. And all of us would just be passed out on the lawn. Wow. But now they have to go and get the hair and makeup done.
00:27:07:11 - 00:27:15:05
Alisa Fraser
But we didn't get any of that. We didn't get fed, we didn't get free coffee. We didn't get hair or makeup. Yeah, Yeah.
00:27:15:08 - 00:27:20:27
Daniel Franco
So you got called back to do the reality show. That doesn't sound like something appealing that I would want to go back and.
00:27:20:27 - 00:27:21:22
Alisa Fraser
Do.
00:27:21:25 - 00:27:22:25
Daniel Franco
This or not.
00:27:22:28 - 00:27:35:02
Alisa Fraser
The second one we did Fantastic five. Yeah. So they brought two previous couples back and we must have given them something. Good. Good. You know.
00:27:35:03 - 00:27:36:13
Daniel Franco
You had the business running body.
00:27:36:13 - 00:27:43:10
Alisa Fraser
No, no, I did not know. So it was a three month break in between. I was. That is three months.
00:27:43:14 - 00:27:48:25
Daniel Franco
So you spent all that time away from your families? Yeah.
00:27:48:27 - 00:28:07:20
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. So they would they were really good in relation to letting us fly home. So like, every two weeks with my flight home for a day to see them, and then the kids would come over to see us. The second series, my husband came over with the kids and I put them up at a hotel. He took time off of work.
00:28:07:23 - 00:28:08:26
Alisa Fraser
Very. Did you get.
00:28:08:26 - 00:28:10:07
Daniel Franco
Paid to be on the show?
00:28:10:09 - 00:28:25:27
Alisa Fraser
The first series? Yes, you do. But the first time around it was minimal. And then the second time, because you're now classified as talent because they have asked you to come back. It's awesome. Yeah. Yeah. Very good. Yeah.
00:28:25:29 - 00:28:30:21
Daniel Franco
So now. Now I like your celebrity and stuff.
00:28:30:24 - 00:28:32:16
Alisa Fraser
A date, right? Yes.
00:28:32:19 - 00:28:34:14
Daniel Franco
When's the Dancing with the Stars?
00:28:34:19 - 00:28:46:11
Alisa Fraser
Because it's. I know it wasn't is killing to do Survivor. And I was like, Oh, you know, I'm a celebrity. Get Me out of here. And I was like, No, I'm a celebrity jammed up. Your ass would never do that.
00:28:46:11 - 00:28:47:21
Daniel Franco
It's I is.
00:28:47:23 - 00:28:49:17
Alisa Fraser
Not my body's too.
00:28:49:19 - 00:28:50:13
Daniel Franco
Is screaming.
00:28:50:14 - 00:28:52:18
Alisa Fraser
Screwed.
00:28:52:20 - 00:29:00:01
Daniel Franco
That's brilliant. So when did the it was after the second show fantasies vibes that you saw, right? Yeah, we actually did.
00:29:00:04 - 00:29:05:01
Alisa Fraser
So we actually had to hand in our badges because people wouldn't let us go again.
00:29:05:03 - 00:29:05:22
Daniel Franco
Yeah, well.
00:29:05:23 - 00:29:29:00
Alisa Fraser
Because there may have been some footage of us driving within there, like illegally out of the car. And it probably wasn't a good look that we went back again, you know, So that kind of like forced our hand. So we handed in our badges riot. So in between the blocks. Well, Sandra had gone back to do one shift.
00:29:29:03 - 00:29:37:27
Alisa Fraser
Okay. And then I was like, I can't, I can't, I can't. And then when we got the opportunity, she's like, Nah, now we're going to take the jump and, you know, go for it.
00:29:38:04 - 00:29:41:20
Daniel Franco
Yeah, Well, that must have been an exciting yet scary time.
00:29:41:22 - 00:29:58:17
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. It all happened so fast that I mean, I say think we got the chance to really computer which is probably a good thing but you just had to go with the guard like it was an opportunity of a lifetime. And I think that's probably why we've worked so hard since, because we sacrificed a lot. Mm.
00:29:58:19 - 00:30:06:10
Daniel Franco
But six months of hard, good, hard, solid work is you over a million bucks. You do it. You do it every day as well.
00:30:06:12 - 00:30:07:01
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. Really.
00:30:07:01 - 00:30:08:17
Daniel Franco
Yeah. Yeah. Because it's winnings. Yeah.
00:30:08:21 - 00:30:11:21
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. So yeah, that's how many, you know.
00:30:11:23 - 00:30:13:03
Daniel Franco
Investment into a new business.
00:30:13:03 - 00:30:14:26
Alisa Fraser
100%. Yeah.
00:30:14:29 - 00:30:29:22
Daniel Franco
Yeah. So what does that look like? Taking you off. I mean you've got it must have been and granted you've done six months excruciating work. Yeah. To get what you need to be. Yeah. But in the meantime Instagram followers go up, Facebook go up.
00:30:29:22 - 00:30:39:21
Alisa Fraser
All Yeah. Instagram was only just starting to take off and what is this thing? And we didn't utiliza as much as we should have on the show so we could have. Yeah, but I spoke with two.
00:30:39:21 - 00:30:40:25
Daniel Franco
Hundred thousand followers.
00:30:40:25 - 00:31:03:12
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So Facebook was massive at the time and that was going off. I think we got like 260,000, a third of doing something on Facebook, which would just not happen now, you know. Is that still exist Facebook. Yeah, it does. It actually does. I don't go Yeah I know, I know. I think it's the oldies. Yeah I know.
00:31:03:15 - 00:31:17:29
Alisa Fraser
I see my mum right. Yeah. I come over the holidays like on Facebook, we then finish the blog, we started on interior design business and we worked our asses off like day in, day out. But you.
00:31:17:29 - 00:31:18:29
Daniel Franco
And I had clients almost straight.
00:31:18:29 - 00:31:22:03
Alisa Fraser
Away. Yeah, we did. You know, like we were learning of and processes and.
00:31:22:03 - 00:31:31:06
Daniel Franco
Oh, yeah. Did you have any. Your mum ran a business. Did you have, did you bring those ideas into the running. Did you bring your mum in. No, no, no. They were out.
00:31:31:12 - 00:32:01:21
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. Yeah. So don't wait with family. No, no. They Yeah. And then so yeah we did that for well we still got that business but yeah, we did that. Uh, when did we do our first design, Joy 2018. So I think we ran that for about seven years, and then we bought a property in Abbott Park in Melbourne and we developed that bought at the highest peak in the market and sold it the lowest.
00:32:01:21 - 00:32:11:25
Alisa Fraser
So that kind of turned to shit and didn't turn out how it should have planned. But everything happens for a reason because if that had have worked out, a life would never have happened.
00:32:11:28 - 00:32:14:21
Daniel Franco
So tell us that story. How did a.
00:32:14:21 - 00:32:33:14
Alisa Fraser
Lot of so life came about when we were at the end of that project wanting to style our bathrooms, and we're in Melbourne, which is, you know, a great place for shopping. Yeah. And so I we need to solve these bathrooms and I'm not using a soap because everybody uses a salt and we need to do something else.
00:32:33:17 - 00:32:51:28
Alisa Fraser
And we went shopping and we couldn't find anything that you literally couldn't find. Well that was, that was a style, you know, element in the bathroom as well as being functional. And so that all that project finished and.
00:32:52:00 - 00:32:58:21
Daniel Franco
But I get that you couldn't find anything but the, the thought process of what an art design might.
00:32:58:21 - 00:33:36:04
Alisa Fraser
Well it didn't come at that exact same time. So we'd sold the property back at we're working on interior design and I was sitting in the office and I was with Andre, an assistant mayor and sitting the office, and I just, I just came out with we should design out, we should design a design, arrange with a palm olive or something, because there's nothing out there and at the time and listen to ensure, you know, there's a lot of slopes out there and and I was I can I swear on this right Yeah, absolutely.
00:33:36:11 - 00:33:59:03
Alisa Fraser
I was like, fuck up, I'm going to do it myself. Yeah. And so I worked by myself for six months and researched and was up until 3:00 every morning sending 2 million emails, just learning, trying to find bottle suppliers, trying to find like come up with a design. And how did you.
00:33:59:03 - 00:34:01:10
Daniel Franco
Design that or did you get someone else to design.
00:34:01:10 - 00:34:03:22
Alisa Fraser
It? We designed it so we.
00:34:03:25 - 00:34:05:08
Daniel Franco
So you learn all about is what.
00:34:05:08 - 00:34:05:13
Alisa Fraser
Does the.
00:34:05:13 - 00:34:06:22
Daniel Franco
Research look like?
00:34:06:23 - 00:34:32:00
Alisa Fraser
Oh, I got up, I got on sketch up and I which is a design program we do renders things like that and paint around and got it to a point hired. I don't know if this guy was an industrial designer at this point, but he, he printed a 3D printed version of what we'd come up with. And I've still got the prototype at work and as this plastic printed thing.
00:34:32:00 - 00:34:47:11
Alisa Fraser
And I was like, now it needs shoulders on. So then we built it out with Play-Doh and then spray painted it and then went to a different industrial designer and said like, create a space. What does this look like in an actual workable file? Yeah.
00:34:47:13 - 00:34:51:12
Daniel Franco
Meanwhile, your kids missing these Play-Doh.
00:34:51:15 - 00:34:53:01
Alisa Fraser
Yes.
00:34:53:03 - 00:34:57:13
Daniel Franco
But. And so then from so from there. Yeah, it was born.
00:34:57:16 - 00:34:59:07
Alisa Fraser
But yeah.
00:34:59:10 - 00:35:05:23
Daniel Franco
So it's a lot of bodies all around my house. And I'm like, it's not the cheapest thing in the world.
00:35:05:25 - 00:35:09:24
Alisa Fraser
It's my message right now. Makes you feel good using it. It's.
00:35:09:24 - 00:35:22:27
Daniel Franco
It is. It is good. I must all saying to Gab's earlier a podcast manager that some yeah I don't necessarily use the moisturizing lotion. Yeah yeah.
00:35:23:00 - 00:35:23:17
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
00:35:23:20 - 00:35:26:09
Daniel Franco
I just don't know that My hands. Yeah yeah.
00:35:26:14 - 00:35:28:07
Alisa Fraser
Your body does You need to moisturize.
00:35:28:12 - 00:35:34:25
Daniel Franco
But it really I would argue that I have never, ever moisturize in my life and I don't think I'm.
00:35:35:02 - 00:35:37:07
Alisa Fraser
Wearing your clothes.
00:35:37:09 - 00:35:37:24
Daniel Franco
Maybe my.
00:35:38:02 - 00:35:45:21
Alisa Fraser
Wife. Maybe your wife does after shaving her legs, you know? No, She draws air conditioner, dries the skin out.
00:35:45:23 - 00:35:53:02
Daniel Franco
You know, my wife is moisturizing all the time. But yeah, no, I do. It does. It just looks fantastic.
00:35:53:04 - 00:36:17:25
Alisa Fraser
And you can't have the wash without the lotion. So even if purely that what that lotion is for does Honest thinks it's serving a purpose. Yeah. Because that is what we have created. Yeah. We have created a design like autumn in your home, in your bathroom that can literally you can add it into the space and it can transform your space literally just by adding one of those because it's such a pop of color.
00:36:17:25 - 00:36:23:07
Alisa Fraser
And it's like, obviously you've seen the look of it, my Instagram and they've got the tray and it's the decor.
00:36:23:10 - 00:36:24:16
Daniel Franco
Is the smartest thing in my.
00:36:24:16 - 00:36:26:13
Alisa Fraser
Eyes. Yeah, because it's my interlock.
00:36:26:13 - 00:36:27:24
Daniel Franco
That catches all the water.
00:36:27:27 - 00:36:41:24
Alisa Fraser
The water and keep some nice and tidy. And it's, you know, Yes, you said like it's a higher price point, but how much money do we spend on vases and flowers and candles and that exact same.
00:36:41:27 - 00:36:53:07
Daniel Franco
You don't want to be cheap product in that market. You not attracting to that market. So I absolutely love the product. I just when I when I comment about price.
00:36:53:10 - 00:37:03:12
Alisa Fraser
Yeah that's a male comment you had a yeah probably more of a female product. The husbands just don't ask questions. The wives just go out and buy and they just don't.
00:37:03:18 - 00:37:07:10
Daniel Franco
I think it looks fabulous. So I don't say, Yeah.
00:37:07:13 - 00:37:08:06
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, yeah.
00:37:08:12 - 00:37:17:11
Daniel Franco
We'll leave that one there. So, so you're running a live now you CEO and you're still the is running the design.
00:37:17:13 - 00:37:41:21
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. We got to a point where we were trying to do both. Yeah. And probably stepping on each other's toes a little bit and we just had to have that honest conversation of interior design still needs to be run and a lot body needs to be run and why don't we split divide and conquer and we always come together on the important things, both businesses.
00:37:41:23 - 00:37:47:02
Alisa Fraser
Nothing's ever signed off without one another and it's yeah, it's been great.
00:37:47:04 - 00:37:51:17
Daniel Franco
So a lives got 20 odd people now or is it or is it the.
00:37:51:19 - 00:38:04:21
Alisa Fraser
22 or 23 now? I'm literally losing count and then I have to now stop and pause and think, Oh my God, And I am so and I'm not just joking, but it does it gets to that point where it's like you've got all these names in your head, like, you get this blank. You're like, Oh.
00:38:04:21 - 00:38:10:19
Daniel Franco
Is that so? It's the same 22 in the group. Is it a group or is it the design team.
00:38:10:22 - 00:38:11:14
Alisa Fraser
That separates.
00:38:11:17 - 00:38:13:01
Daniel Franco
Separate? How many people.
00:38:13:04 - 00:38:14:15
Alisa Fraser
On two for four?
00:38:14:15 - 00:38:15:22
Daniel Franco
Okay, so.
00:38:15:25 - 00:38:26:15
Alisa Fraser
The were all like probably 26 or something. Yeah. Yeah. So we Yeah. And that doesn't include warehouse staff or anything because we I'm three people. Okay. Yeah.
00:38:26:17 - 00:38:30:09
Daniel Franco
So what's the plans, What's the vision for life? Where are we.
00:38:30:09 - 00:38:39:17
Alisa Fraser
Going. Yeah. So we, well, we launched that three and a half years ago. We're now in over 700 stockists around Australia.
00:38:39:19 - 00:38:40:15
Daniel Franco
And all the big ones.
00:38:40:19 - 00:39:14:19
Alisa Fraser
Were in my little all beautiful. Hopefully in a couple bigger go on. Same um, early next year and it's right not yet probably. Okay but they're exciting, really exciting and yeah I guess the next thing is for us a few more category extensions which we've already now. Erin We started off with our washing machine. Joyce We've now got a hair collection, a home, fragrance collection, a baby collection and a kitchen collection and a cleaning collection.
00:39:14:21 - 00:39:24:26
Alisa Fraser
So, yeah, a lot of time and effort and money has been focused towards our product extension and line extensions and new.
00:39:24:26 - 00:39:28:06
Daniel Franco
Government grants coming out now and all this stuff. Oh, did you see that.
00:39:28:09 - 00:39:32:14
Alisa Fraser
The grants to new government. Oh, plays the government gave me nothing got released.
00:39:32:14 - 00:39:33:03
Daniel Franco
Just a matter of.
00:39:33:03 - 00:39:34:13
Alisa Fraser
Fact I don't believe it.
00:39:34:15 - 00:39:37:06
Daniel Franco
I'm tools I'm towards manufacturing I guess.
00:39:37:06 - 00:39:38:05
Alisa Fraser
I don't know. I got.
00:39:38:05 - 00:39:39:02
Daniel Franco
A notice in my.
00:39:39:03 - 00:39:43:11
Alisa Fraser
Only take from me. They never give me anything. Or if they do, they make it too hard.
00:39:43:14 - 00:39:50:22
Daniel Franco
I'll send you a report, Mr. Mulligan. There. But. But. So where are you going? Where are we taking it? Is it a.
00:39:50:22 - 00:39:55:10
Alisa Fraser
Worldwide? But it has to be. Yeah, it has to be international. This brand has to go global.
00:39:55:13 - 00:39:56:21
Daniel Franco
Have you got investors or is it.
00:39:56:21 - 00:40:08:29
Alisa Fraser
We don't have we've got a friend who has a very small percentage of business he bought in at the very beginning, but she's a completely silent partner and that's it. Okay. Beautiful.
00:40:09:01 - 00:40:14:20
Daniel Franco
And when you say it has to be, what do you mean? Just because you're just not happy with where it is, as in being Australia only?
00:40:14:22 - 00:40:18:09
Alisa Fraser
Oh, that's not who I am. It's not in my day. And I just know.
00:40:18:11 - 00:40:20:20
Daniel Franco
You said it's the what is your voice? 300.
00:40:20:20 - 00:40:22:19
Alisa Fraser
Percent. It's got to be global domination.
00:40:22:23 - 00:40:26:14
Daniel Franco
Well you if you get into the US market and then you've got your unicorn.
00:40:26:16 - 00:40:38:02
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. And I mean I'm not, I don't think the US market is out our first entry. Okay. You got to be careful in the US and think you and you're correct, we've got a.
00:40:38:04 - 00:40:38:28
Daniel Franco
Difference.
00:40:39:00 - 00:40:50:22
Alisa Fraser
It's, it's just a big base and all of like all of this, all the country is so different and each state is like its own country. And you have to trade like that.
00:40:50:24 - 00:40:53:12
Daniel Franco
But so where you where you're going? Oh, first.
00:40:53:12 - 00:41:14:08
Alisa Fraser
UK. Okay, Yeah, yeah. Um, and we are in New Zealand, but want to do New Zealand better. That's amazing. You know, compared to the UK. Yeah. Internationally probably. Well, definitely some Asian countries, Canada. Yeah. Uh, beautiful. U.S. is definitely on the list. But what number that look like?
00:41:14:08 - 00:41:15:10
Daniel Franco
Cut your teeth in first.
00:41:15:11 - 00:41:22:15
Alisa Fraser
Exactly. We've got to get really systems and processes right before we tackle that base.
00:41:22:18 - 00:41:24:27
Daniel Franco
Do you have a sit and pinch yourself.
00:41:24:29 - 00:42:00:02
Alisa Fraser
When I you have to. I don't really have time. You know, when they say stuff, you smell the roses. Yeah, I don't. And this is probably when I have a moment to stop and reflect. I think that's a bit of a I'm not going to say it's sad or disappointing, but the fact that I am just so busy that I can't take it all in and it doesn't feel real and it doesn't actually feel I don't understand the.
00:42:00:06 - 00:42:00:18
Daniel Franco
Whirlwind.
00:42:00:25 - 00:42:20:21
Alisa Fraser
Magnitude of what's happening. I don't know if that's a bit of a just got to keep going mentality or yeah, I wish I wish I had more time. I'm very grateful, but I wish I had more time to actually appreciate it. But I think, you know, like and I think it's just.
00:42:20:21 - 00:42:21:21
Daniel Franco
A choice, right?
00:42:21:24 - 00:42:51:15
Alisa Fraser
I think anybody in business, though, can appreciate the fact that, you know, even when you're turning eight figures, it's not set in stone that your business is always going to be successful. So I don't want to stop and celebrate like, I don't know when is the end? When when is when do you go? My business is unsinkable and now I can stop and really just fucking celebrate because I'm always just like, it's not a sure thing.
00:42:51:18 - 00:42:56:01
Alisa Fraser
Even though we've had year on year growth of, you know.
00:42:56:03 - 00:43:19:02
Daniel Franco
You and I have a very similar mentality. I reckon it comes from sport, right? You win one premiership, it's like get cool with the next two things. Let's get on to the next round, then let's go to states, go to nationals, let's do this, let's do that. The the, the idea though is that you want eventually not be working in the business and working on it.
00:43:19:02 - 00:43:35:03
Daniel Franco
Right. And that's when you know you notice your true growth. Is that something that you have plans for I mean because you talk about being busy. Being busy, yeah. And you mentioned earlier to me often, you know, I've got a million out emails and I need to go back and respond to Surely that can't be what you signed up for?
00:43:35:04 - 00:43:47:24
Alisa Fraser
No, no, it's not. Because I am so caught in the weeds. I really need to get in. Yeah, but then I like, look at my emails. I'm like, oh no, confirming lots of things. Anyway.
00:43:47:27 - 00:43:48:18
Daniel Franco
But they can.
00:43:48:18 - 00:44:14:16
Alisa Fraser
Well, they can someone. They can. They can. I just need to and obviously I've built the team to, to be able to take on responsibility and take pressure off of me. But I mean I also do all of the product development as well. Yeah. I've obviously got a team of graphic designers that really assist and I've got a team of people the business that help, but the ideas and the concepts are born out of my head.
00:44:14:19 - 00:44:33:14
Alisa Fraser
So and I love that part of my job that's the best part of my job being a CEO and running a business hands down. One day, that won't be me. Yeah, it'll be somebody else that has the time to dedicate to that. But right now I. The business is still so young. I need my finger on the pulse.
00:44:33:14 - 00:44:37:11
Alisa Fraser
And if it was right for me to be in that position, we are the.
00:44:37:11 - 00:44:38:10
Daniel Franco
Face of the business.
00:44:38:10 - 00:44:54:11
Alisa Fraser
Right? Well, I think it's as well, like this whole business has been, it's been an intuition I've had. It was like the only way I can describe it is something jumping in my body and taking over my body. I've not done this before. I've never run a product about based business before. It's something has taken over my body.
00:44:54:17 - 00:45:02:22
Alisa Fraser
If I step back from that and let somebody else come in and take over, that's too risky. Well, you will have to.
00:45:02:22 - 00:45:05:21
Daniel Franco
You're thinking all or nothing, right?
00:45:05:23 - 00:45:06:18
Alisa Fraser
Yes.
00:45:06:20 - 00:45:10:09
Daniel Franco
So you're thinking, I'm just going to hand that over tomorrow? Yes, it happens over time.
00:45:10:09 - 00:45:21:27
Alisa Fraser
Yes. And it already has. I mean, we just had a jam for the first time in five years, the whole time she started five months ago. So I'm already handing over right to people management because.
00:45:21:27 - 00:45:26:02
Daniel Franco
Your mental health and wellbeing is going to be parallel for the success.
00:45:26:02 - 00:45:26:28
Alisa Fraser
Of this business because.
00:45:26:28 - 00:45:29:23
Daniel Franco
You are the face, you are the thought leader, I guess.
00:45:29:23 - 00:45:38:17
Alisa Fraser
And so I know I need to look after myself. Yeah, just book day trip to New York for my 40th the husband in April next year. So I need to start doing.
00:45:38:19 - 00:45:40:23
Daniel Franco
An April baby. What's your.
00:45:40:25 - 00:45:42:21
Alisa Fraser
Birthday.
00:45:42:23 - 00:45:44:13
Daniel Franco
Like?
00:45:44:15 - 00:45:52:02
Alisa Fraser
I told you, you just. Well, we didn't cover you. Didn't cover you? I didn't say.
00:45:52:02 - 00:45:52:24
Daniel Franco
Yeah, okay.
00:45:52:24 - 00:45:57:26
Alisa Fraser
So you've got to be careful for security reasons. I had some I was doing identity.
00:45:57:27 - 00:46:00:07
Daniel Franco
Well then I can't say mine because then.
00:46:00:09 - 00:46:02:12
Alisa Fraser
But then you're in areas.
00:46:02:14 - 00:46:05:18
Daniel Franco
Yeah, I am. But I don't. I'm not. I'm not into the stuff, so.
00:46:05:19 - 00:46:12:09
Alisa Fraser
Oh, honey, are you. Yeah. Is this all. Oh, areas now. Areas, areas, areas get areas.
00:46:12:10 - 00:46:15:10
Daniel Franco
And because it's a headstrong sort of way.
00:46:15:11 - 00:46:21:18
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. Areas on the same page as one another for sure. It's 100%. I can pick areas. Yeah.
00:46:21:26 - 00:46:24:22
Daniel Franco
Did you pick me.
00:46:24:25 - 00:46:27:26
Alisa Fraser
Up enjoying all the talk? I guess.
00:46:27:28 - 00:46:29:11
Daniel Franco
No, I don't know.
00:46:29:12 - 00:46:32:06
Alisa Fraser
No, and I don't know. We've got this fire in us. Yeah.
00:46:32:06 - 00:46:46:20
Daniel Franco
Like I just thought it was the Italian in May. Yeah, but no, you're right. The. Yeah, I'm not big and I'm not big into that spice, but I understand what you're saying. Yeah. And pretty headstrong people. The areas.
00:46:46:20 - 00:46:58:11
Alisa Fraser
Headstrong, loyal, like the kind of people that would do anything for anyone but, like, fuck me over. Yeah, you did that to me.
00:46:58:13 - 00:47:23:25
Daniel Franco
I'm interested in this topic of putting your trust in others. I honestly think for a live body to become a unicorn company and like you want it to be, you've got to play the strings. And if you're saying the add meaning is not your strengths, it's that look, it's the same thing I think every sort of entrepreneur goes through is that this element of how much rope do I give?
00:47:23:28 - 00:47:39:22
Daniel Franco
You know what? How do I actually lead? And manage? What's the best way to grow? What vision in my China set is all these different things, as well as just doing the work right where everyone's trying to, what When do you think the transition will look like for you?
00:47:39:23 - 00:47:46:26
Alisa Fraser
Well, keeping in mind when I say I, you know, I'm not handing things off. I've got heads of departments.
00:47:46:27 - 00:47:47:23
Daniel Franco
Oh, absolutely.
00:47:47:23 - 00:47:49:02
Alisa Fraser
I've got the jam.
00:47:49:05 - 00:47:51:09
Daniel Franco
Oh, you wouldn't be where you are today if it was just you.
00:47:51:14 - 00:47:52:09
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, I need you.
00:47:52:11 - 00:47:53:21
Daniel Franco
Yeah.
00:47:53:24 - 00:48:11:25
Alisa Fraser
I. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know the answer to a I. It goes through my mind all the time of what it looks like. Well, the worry is looking at structures and always planning for two, three, four years. Am what the old chart looks like and.
00:48:11:28 - 00:48:13:16
Daniel Franco
A board.
00:48:13:18 - 00:48:46:24
Alisa Fraser
We want to set one up early next year. Looking into it now 100%. That's the next step. Yeah. Great. Get some hopefully, you know, potentially a bit more seniority into the team as well. And I think that's really important. And I think because we've bootstrapped everything and we've started from zero to nothing all the way up to where we are now, it's also me changing my mentality of being a small business and like understanding what needs to be spent in order for a business our size.
00:48:46:24 - 00:48:59:25
Alisa Fraser
And that's quite hard when you've always been so over your cash in your spending and when I'm not extravagant, I don't spend money on stupid things just because it's successful.
00:48:59:28 - 00:49:10:04
Daniel Franco
And we caught up would have been what would that have been the other week, two weeks ago, a month ago, two months ago, you had 18 people then and then you got 23. Yeah.
00:49:10:06 - 00:49:13:15
Alisa Fraser
And this is what I'm saying is literally at.
00:49:13:15 - 00:49:14:02
Daniel Franco
This level.
00:49:14:08 - 00:49:15:00
Alisa Fraser
I know you're not.
00:49:15:00 - 00:49:15:28
Daniel Franco
Going to be a small business.
00:49:15:29 - 00:49:33:21
Alisa Fraser
Very high. And why you need a new office. We literally just signed a three off three year lease. I hope my landlord isn't listening. I think he is. Sorry. Can't block your eyes and thinking, Oh, this is this is us. This is us. Not. It's. Yeah.
00:49:33:24 - 00:49:34:09
Daniel Franco
Spilling it.
00:49:34:15 - 00:49:36:16
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, yeah.
00:49:36:18 - 00:49:38:16
Daniel Franco
But if the split departments.
00:49:38:17 - 00:49:57:09
Alisa Fraser
Good problems to have I guess it just all adds to I think the bigger it gets, the more I see this, the bigger it gets, the more you have to lose. And that's how I feel. And it's, Yeah. At times it's and I don't think anyone can understand it until their pain. It's scary Until their pain.
00:49:57:09 - 00:49:58:12
Daniel Franco
Me It's scary.
00:49:58:14 - 00:49:59:08
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, it's scary.
00:49:59:08 - 00:50:00:12
Daniel Franco
It's not only money.
00:50:00:15 - 00:50:01:27
Alisa Fraser
Oh, it's everything.
00:50:01:27 - 00:50:03:27
Daniel Franco
Because your public face is everything.
00:50:03:27 - 00:50:09:11
Alisa Fraser
And not to mention, like, I have the weight of 23 staff on my shoulders. That's a big thing.
00:50:09:16 - 00:50:19:17
Daniel Franco
I agree. You know what someone said to me? I've said that because we've got 20 other people in our teams. When I said, Then you're hiring professional people.
00:50:19:17 - 00:50:32:28
Alisa Fraser
That can get reemployed, they'll be fine. You know, I but they love coming to work. And I agree, we've created this. You know, they get along so well. It's just a responsibility. I think we have as.
00:50:33:00 - 00:50:51:18
Daniel Franco
You know, I yeah, I'm one of those people who I actually like the idea of failing fast, but I don't like the idea of completely failing. Did you not? I mean, I, I'm happy to make the odd mistake here and there and, and fix it. And we want to learn from it. But if I ultimately fail.
00:50:51:20 - 00:50:52:01
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
00:50:52:07 - 00:50:54:04
Daniel Franco
Then, like, it completely eats at me.
00:50:54:10 - 00:51:17:05
Alisa Fraser
The good thing about that is, over time, I have really trusted in the fact that everything happens for a reason and I felt like we had failed with our Albert Park project because we didn't sell what we needed. Well, we made no money on it. Yeah, for two years of work and everything that happened happened for a reason.
00:51:17:12 - 00:51:38:12
Alisa Fraser
And now if something feels like it's not working or it hasn't gone to plan, I have this ability just to switch and go. Something's teaching us a lesson. I'm not sure what it is right now, but it's happening for a reason and that is massive. That's huge. That really helps to just not dwell on anything that hasn't worked and just go, Alright, what next?
00:51:38:13 - 00:51:39:13
Daniel Franco
Very stoic of you.
00:51:39:14 - 00:51:49:09
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, it's just something that I've just it's obviously taken time. It's happened a lot of times. If I we get out before and each time you just let that happen and then learn to trust in the process.
00:51:49:16 - 00:51:55:13
Daniel Franco
And yeah, I think what the benefit is you start seeing the silver lining in things. Yeah. Well yeah, actually I got that from.
00:51:55:14 - 00:51:56:13
Alisa Fraser
100%.
00:51:56:17 - 00:51:57:18
Daniel Franco
I would have paid how much?
00:51:57:20 - 00:52:00:16
Alisa Fraser
100%. Yeah.
00:52:00:18 - 00:52:09:00
Daniel Franco
I'm, I'm an entrepreneur too. Right. And I have a toxic trait. That toxic trait is seeing shiny things.
00:52:09:00 - 00:52:28:19
Alisa Fraser
Oh, yeah, I know. Oh, my God. That is the worst thing to say to you. Oh, yeah, Yeah. Oh, yeah. You should see my. No, you should see I've got an assignment list. And every time I think of something, it gets put on there. That would be a really good idea. Oh, and.
00:52:28:19 - 00:52:29:18
Daniel Franco
It confuses the hell out of.
00:52:29:18 - 00:52:44:02
Alisa Fraser
Everybody. It does. It does. And it takes their attention off what's important. And I think I'm really trying to get c I actually think I actually and I it's a big call. I actually wonder if I've got ADHD.
00:52:44:04 - 00:52:47:09
Daniel Franco
I think to be an entrepreneur you have to Yeah I'm almost.
00:52:47:12 - 00:53:10:11
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, something in there And so I'm always like on and I'm always like, oh, it's just just online like this, I guess. Tiring. It really does get tiring. There are times where I'm like, I just want to lay in bed, have a day off, never have a day off. And because I know I'd come back to 500 emails.
00:53:10:15 - 00:53:14:06
Daniel Franco
But do you feel guilty when you have a day off?
00:53:14:09 - 00:53:20:22
Alisa Fraser
I don't feel guilty. I feel anxious about what I have to come back to. That day off is not worth it.
00:53:20:27 - 00:53:24:20
Daniel Franco
Yeah, I feel guilty. Like I'm like, I'm not doing anything yet.
00:53:24:25 - 00:53:37:15
Alisa Fraser
So on the weekend it'll be like, Yeah, it'll be like, Oh, this feels weird. I used to feel guilty. I did used to feel guilty. I know that feeling you're talking about. But now it's just anxious.
00:53:37:15 - 00:53:40:05
Daniel Franco
I'm not doing anything right now that could be actually.
00:53:40:06 - 00:53:43:29
Alisa Fraser
Be doing something. Yeah. And that's the inability. Switch off.
00:53:43:29 - 00:53:44:18
Daniel Franco
Yeah, I agree.
00:53:44:25 - 00:54:03:06
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, it's hard. It's not. It's not, it's not good. And then so there are obviously a lot of advantages about being a business owner and running your own race. But there are also, like I look at myself, I get to go home, I get to talk about, you know, going to the beach after work. And I mean, I've got a choice.
00:54:03:06 - 00:54:07:03
Alisa Fraser
I can do that. But I've also.
00:54:07:06 - 00:54:08:21
Daniel Franco
Planned. Isn't it a game for you?
00:54:08:22 - 00:54:13:01
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, There's like, oh, look, who knows what that looks like?
00:54:13:04 - 00:54:18:27
Daniel Franco
What keeps you up at night? Then, you know, talking about the downsides.
00:54:18:27 - 00:54:51:02
Alisa Fraser
Of I mean, Saffa or my myself, our staff are amazing, but there's always like people, you know, like it's just people in general, Like someone's got, you know, some family issues going on or this person's not getting on with that person or and it doesn't happen often. Like honestly, our team is bloody amazing. But when you got 22 people that are living different lives and have different personalities and that's that's hard.
00:54:51:04 - 00:55:08:07
Alisa Fraser
I think obviously it's always going to be of if the market crashes, what happens if the US dollar, you know, things like tanks, like it's all those little things to say. Like I know in my head you just.
00:55:08:07 - 00:55:10:09
Daniel Franco
Went through COVID where.
00:55:10:12 - 00:55:19:15
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, but we also had handwash and people are at home. So that was the actual best time to launch a business. So it was good for us coming out of private.
00:55:19:15 - 00:55:22:11
Daniel Franco
Like you've just gone through what is probably the biggest.
00:55:22:14 - 00:55:23:15
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
00:55:23:17 - 00:55:27:00
Daniel Franco
Issue in the world. Yeah, and you've actually benefited from it.
00:55:27:00 - 00:55:28:00
Alisa Fraser
But did.
00:55:28:03 - 00:55:31:08
Daniel Franco
Cleaning your hands or don't ever going to be something that goes away one.
00:55:31:08 - 00:55:33:01
Alisa Fraser
Hundred percent. Yes.
00:55:33:03 - 00:55:36:15
Daniel Franco
How much people pay for it.
00:55:36:18 - 00:55:39:00
Alisa Fraser
Well, I like to think we're in this nice little market.
00:55:39:00 - 00:55:40:14
Daniel Franco
Yeah, absolutely.
00:55:40:16 - 00:55:42:26
Alisa Fraser
No, it's terrible. But you're in.
00:55:42:29 - 00:55:45:10
Daniel Franco
You're a high quality brand. You have to be in that market.
00:55:45:10 - 00:56:14:16
Alisa Fraser
But what I'm thinking and what I'm saying is, like, even when the market you know, even when cost of living increases, we're in this nice little market where people who use our products aren't those people that normally are affected by cost of living. And we've got this little niche, I think, plus as well. The upside, like when people do need to cut down on spending, whether it's designer clothes or what have you, they still like to trade themselves regardless.
00:56:14:16 - 00:56:17:28
Alisa Fraser
And it's inositol and it's wonderful.
00:56:17:29 - 00:56:25:05
Daniel Franco
I wish you all the success with the you you would be getting some competition nine winning.
00:56:25:07 - 00:56:26:26
Alisa Fraser
Oh look.
00:56:26:29 - 00:56:28:23
Daniel Franco
Is in people copy copying.
00:56:28:23 - 00:56:39:18
Alisa Fraser
Yeah you know even like last week I heard that somebody is bringing out like in the same industry personal care range.
00:56:39:18 - 00:56:42:17
Daniel Franco
Oh really. Yeah. When you say same industry.
00:56:42:19 - 00:56:43:16
Alisa Fraser
Interior designer.
00:56:43:18 - 00:56:46:04
Daniel Franco
Okay. So someone. Yeah. Known to the.
00:56:46:04 - 00:56:52:24
Alisa Fraser
Public. Yeah. Okay. So it was always going to happen. People say it being a success and that the person.
00:56:53:01 - 00:56:54:20
Daniel Franco
Who gave you that advice early on is.
00:56:54:20 - 00:57:08:03
Alisa Fraser
It. No. And I'm actually friends with this person, so it's fine. It's just competition. Yeah. And people always going to it's always going to happen.
00:57:08:03 - 00:57:08:26
Daniel Franco
Your first to the.
00:57:08:26 - 00:57:31:14
Alisa Fraser
Market, it refers to the market. We and everybody has a different brand position. And at the end of the day, it's also about brand and it's also about what your customers love about you and your company and your products. And so you can be worried about who's coming in behind you or you can be focused on what you need to achieve and what your point of difference is.
00:57:31:14 - 00:57:53:13
Alisa Fraser
And I've always been a strong believer, like people have tried to replicate our finishes and our colors and even our fricking bottle without the cut out. And that was a celebrity as well. And you can get caught up on you wouldn't have even heard of it because it's brand and and I think people underestimate what it takes to actually create brand.
00:57:53:15 - 00:57:57:06
Daniel Franco
What makes you're so strong? Like what do you think you are?
00:57:57:09 - 00:58:11:03
Alisa Fraser
I just think a sense of knowing our purpose and knowing what we are to our customers and our community and our. So what is the eco?
00:58:11:05 - 00:58:12:19
Daniel Franco
It's eco friendly purpose.
00:58:12:20 - 00:58:50:14
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, it's eco friendly. We created the brand so that it was a styling item within your home. We want to be in every room of the home. And it is a brand that when you use it makes you feel alive. And we also contribute to tree planting. We're doing a really exciting project with Woodlands next year. We've recently just done a project with them here, um, around biodiversity and it's got a purpose and it's hey, just I can't explain to you what we've created.
00:58:50:14 - 00:59:07:22
Alisa Fraser
It's literally born out of passion and it's not just I'm going to slap a bottle together and try and sell it. Yeah, it's, it's so much more than that. Yeah. And our community is just so engaged right down.
00:59:07:23 - 00:59:11:02
Daniel Franco
Oh, yeah. And the name to get your first names in in there.
00:59:11:02 - 00:59:30:05
Alisa Fraser
I was sitting on the beach one day writing names in the sand. Yeah. And I was like, What does. What do I want? What do we want this to stand for? And I was like, Let's plant a tree with every product sold. So when we launched, we planted a tree with every product sold, helped keep the planet alive.
00:59:30:08 - 00:59:47:15
Alisa Fraser
How do you want people to feel when you use the product? You want them to feel alive. You want that take that moment out of your busy day just to stop and breathe and feel alive. And then how do we intertwine al-Sadr and I into the brand as well without it being obvious? Yeah, a lot of people don't even know that.
00:59:47:15 - 00:59:49:01
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, I know. I.
00:59:49:01 - 00:59:51:25
Daniel Franco
Alison Lozada I don't either.
00:59:51:27 - 01:00:06:04
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. And yeah, it's, it's subtle but it's, you know, the best thing as well is like there are a lot of people out there that actually don't even know the brand is, it's not a non. Yeah. Which is great. Yeah.
01:00:06:04 - 01:00:08:08
Daniel Franco
And it until they go on your Instagram.
01:00:08:12 - 01:00:18:10
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. Until they get a thank you note from us but that's really nice that the brand stands on its own. Yeah.
01:00:18:12 - 01:00:20:24
Daniel Franco
Is it been hard growing the brand out of Adelaide.
01:00:20:27 - 01:00:21:13
Alisa Fraser
No.
01:00:21:15 - 01:00:24:13
Daniel Franco
No, no. Do you think just your online following is.
01:00:24:15 - 01:00:26:19
Alisa Fraser
Is everyone thinks you live in Melbourne anyway.
01:00:26:20 - 01:00:29:20
Daniel Franco
I really tell you there after time.
01:00:29:22 - 01:00:40:17
Alisa Fraser
Well, no, it's just I think everyone from the boxes either assumes I'm moving to Melbourne or Sydney to start a professional career and like that's where the big smoke is.
01:00:40:17 - 01:00:49:25
Daniel Franco
But yeah, so I so earlier you mentioned that you didn't really enjoy the business side of things. This is a business podcast.
01:00:49:27 - 01:00:53:06
Alisa Fraser
It's not that I don't enjoy the business side of things.
01:00:53:09 - 01:00:55:08
Daniel Franco
You joined the sorry, you enjoy the creative.
01:00:55:08 - 01:01:17:09
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, I don't like look people management take it or leave it. I do it because it's an integral part of the business and you have to do it. Yeah, I love working with my team, like on projects and coming up with ideas and the creative side of working with my team. Yeah, but the day to day like policies, procedures.
01:01:17:10 - 01:01:17:29
Daniel Franco
Management.
01:01:18:02 - 01:01:18:28
Alisa Fraser
The management.
01:01:19:06 - 01:01:22:02
Daniel Franco
Do you think you'd rather be the leader, not the manager?
01:01:22:05 - 01:01:42:00
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, and that's why I go to general manager now. Yeah, but I mean, as a creative you always want to be using. Yeah. I'm such a visionary and. And you get your wings clipped to be it when you're, you know, pile knee high and bloody paperwork.
01:01:42:00 - 01:01:46:14
Daniel Franco
It doesn't give you energy which is telling you that you're playing in the wrong field if you're do it.
01:01:46:14 - 01:01:47:29
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. Yeah.
01:01:48:01 - 01:01:49:07
Daniel Franco
Which is why you're trying to fix it.
01:01:49:07 - 01:01:51:26
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:01:51:28 - 01:01:59:05
Daniel Franco
Does it, do you ever feel like sometimes you're an imposter though? Like you building in, you're growing this business and.
01:01:59:07 - 01:02:24:13
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Like, who am I to. Yeah, yeah. And I think that I don't doubt myself much. Um, but sometimes I'm like, Fuck, this is getting bigger than me. Um, I've grown this business to multimillion dollar business, and sometimes, like, the next level.
01:02:24:15 - 01:02:25:17
Daniel Franco
Feels like a house of cards.
01:02:25:20 - 01:02:36:21
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. Mhm. And I'm what I am an ex-cop. Copper. Yeah. Like with no business training, I'm like, What am I doing? So yeah, I do.
01:02:36:23 - 01:02:47:00
Daniel Franco
I'm running again. Multi-million dollar consulting firm and I'm a guy that used to build houses, right. Like I have. Yeah, it's just, it's strange.
01:02:47:01 - 01:03:02:10
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, but I guess that just goes to prove you don't need a you need a great. You don't need it. I actually I ran off. I reckon I have a bit of dyslexia. I'm not, I'm smart. I'm smart in a business sense.
01:03:02:12 - 01:03:04:13
Daniel Franco
It's intuition, it's intuition.
01:03:04:13 - 01:03:19:03
Alisa Fraser
But I'm not academically smart. Like, so bad at reading. Writing? Well, not so bad. It I don't like. I'm not. I'm not cheating like she is. Yeah, that's not the word to be studious.
01:03:19:06 - 01:03:20:22
Daniel Franco
She this is.
01:03:20:24 - 01:03:25:24
Alisa Fraser
Student I Student Yeah. So there's that studious that's.
01:03:26:00 - 01:03:29:17
Daniel Franco
So studious is like when you woke up on time.
01:03:29:20 - 01:03:35:16
Alisa Fraser
Is it. Okay so my exact point is that I'm not smart either. I'm not good with words.
01:03:35:16 - 01:03:36:25
Daniel Franco
I'm gonna go that completely wrong.
01:03:36:25 - 01:03:57:06
Alisa Fraser
I'm pretty sure someone Google. Yeah, studious. It's like I'm not good at being a student. You shouldn't out. I'm no good at being a student. I don't like study. I don't like essays. I don't. That's why I could never do uni. I tried for a semester.
01:03:57:09 - 01:03:58:12
Daniel Franco
So you got no degree?
01:03:58:15 - 01:03:58:24
Alisa Fraser
No.
01:03:58:28 - 01:04:08:06
Daniel Franco
No, I don't either. I and I went back after, but, um, I at a school just got straight into the. Yeah, I drove a forklift when I was.
01:04:08:11 - 01:04:12:18
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. Cricket. You know what? Sometimes on the job is better than I.
01:04:12:20 - 01:04:40:13
Daniel Franco
I, I yeah. Was concentrating on sport and I feel really sick or chronic fatigue and needed a job and yeah, ended up on a forklift and just built my way up going into sales and Yeah. Booming way up the ranks. But you're I'm really interested in, in the relationship between you and your sister as business partners. Is there ever been a disagreement of some sort?
01:04:40:13 - 01:04:42:18
Daniel Franco
We have like every day with you.
01:04:42:20 - 01:04:45:03
Alisa Fraser
All the time. Do you ever.
01:04:45:06 - 01:04:48:27
Daniel Franco
There's. I know there's this unconditional thing and there's a bond between.
01:04:49:04 - 01:04:49:24
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
01:04:49:26 - 01:04:50:11
Daniel Franco
That.
01:04:50:13 - 01:04:52:04
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, yeah. He's, you know. Yeah.
01:04:52:06 - 01:04:57:09
Daniel Franco
But do you ever and you said earlier I never get involved with.
01:04:57:09 - 01:04:57:25
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:04:57:27 - 01:05:03:02
Daniel Franco
Do you ever is there ever have been anything that you've gone. Oh my God. I don't know how long I can work with my sister.
01:05:03:03 - 01:05:22:11
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, it was at that crossroad that I was talking about before when we decided I would settle a body and she would start interior design. Yeah, that's probably the biggest moment that we've had where I was just like, Dude, we're totally like, you know, when you just disagree and you just both pulling your hair out, you know, I can't.
01:05:22:11 - 01:05:38:13
Alisa Fraser
You see my, my like my mum's on my side and now I can't see your side and you try and convincing each other to convince each other to see each other side. And it doesn't work. And then you start to get frustrated. And so we were at that point.
01:05:38:15 - 01:05:40:28
Daniel Franco
Did she want to look after a lot? But, you.
01:05:40:29 - 01:05:57:14
Alisa Fraser
Know, I think like what it was is us both wanting to be involved in each of the other businesses. And we couldn't give the time effort into each of the businesses while we were still trying to control by splitting responsible. Yeah, and that was the hard part.
01:05:57:17 - 01:06:08:03
Daniel Franco
I categorically say that it's one of the areas in which almost I put this business that I run into when me and my co-founder were.
01:06:08:03 - 01:06:09:19
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, And you weren't related?
01:06:09:23 - 01:06:10:19
Daniel Franco
No, we're not related.
01:06:10:19 - 01:06:13:02
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. And that makes it even harder. Well, we weren't.
01:06:13:05 - 01:06:24:14
Daniel Franco
The problem that we love each other a bit and work really well together. We just, we didn't have the roles and responsibilities to find. There was no actually picking up the business and going, right. I'm going to run and lead it. We have done that lately. Yeah.
01:06:24:14 - 01:06:34:00
Alisa Fraser
You can't have to check. Check shift. Yes, yes. Yeah, you can't. You can't have two chefs and that's it doesn't work. It doesn't.
01:06:34:02 - 01:06:36:14
Daniel Franco
And so we've clean that up lately and.
01:06:36:20 - 01:06:44:24
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, and I think you're right. Once you are defining what you take control of and what that other person takes control of.
01:06:44:26 - 01:06:45:11
Daniel Franco
Makes it so.
01:06:45:11 - 01:07:01:19
Alisa Fraser
Much. Yeah. And I think that that's probably a good takeaway is that if you are in that position or you're starting off and you go into business with your friends and your family and you all think it's going to be rosy, no, we don't need structure in place. We don't need agreements, we don't need contracts, We don't everything's going to be fine.
01:07:01:24 - 01:07:12:23
Alisa Fraser
Trust me. You get to a time where it won't be and it will come to loggerheads. And if you don't do it right from the beginning to set that up, then.
01:07:12:26 - 01:07:13:17
Daniel Franco
I couldn't agree more.
01:07:13:17 - 01:07:14:04
Alisa Fraser
There's trouble.
01:07:14:05 - 01:07:16:16
Daniel Franco
Spend the money, get it set up, dot the I's cross.
01:07:16:17 - 01:07:20:26
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, and be extremely honest with each other.
01:07:20:29 - 01:07:28:18
Daniel Franco
So you've done all this while raising a young family. So your kids are 12 and seven? Yeah. Two boys. What's their names?
01:07:28:20 - 01:07:29:14
Alisa Fraser
And dash.
01:07:29:16 - 01:07:56:11
Daniel Franco
And dash. Cool names. How do you. I think this is a question I ask a lot of people, especially those who are CEOs or entrepreneurs, growing scallops, startups. How do you realize your visions? You know where we want to go, what we're trying to achieve while at the same time trying to cultivate a loving and thriving family and relationships?
01:07:56:12 - 01:08:00:00
Alisa Fraser
It's so hard. It's so bloody hard.
01:08:00:02 - 01:08:00:20
Daniel Franco
I can imagine.
01:08:00:20 - 01:08:29:06
Alisa Fraser
It's so hard. A part of it is just trying not to beat myself up about not being there all the time. The other part of it is saying, All right, well, Monday to Friday, I'm I work of come home and, you know, we spend an hour or so together there that is now with it. But I don't want to, you know, play Fortnite.
01:08:29:06 - 01:08:52:18
Alisa Fraser
Yeah it's important I exactly bloody be on their PlayStation. I'll play with their cousins. So that definitely helps. But you know, the weekends are certainly the family time. But my husband's actually still working on say where he works. But hey, that's tough. So at some point we're going to have to look at him.
01:08:52:20 - 01:08:55:18
Daniel Franco
Yeah. Joining the business.
01:08:55:21 - 01:09:01:28
Alisa Fraser
No, no. Being a househusband. So. Yeah, yeah. No, I was happy today.
01:09:02:00 - 01:09:05:07
Daniel Franco
I could never work with my wife either. Not that I just.
01:09:05:13 - 01:09:14:05
Alisa Fraser
Oh, there's too much weight to do around the house. I made a buddy employ him. Yeah, but it's baseball. That's. Yeah, Yeah.
01:09:14:07 - 01:09:18:21
Daniel Franco
I mean, he's a partner in the business as well. With this being through the trust the way.
01:09:18:23 - 01:09:27:24
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, exactly he is. Yeah. He reaps that our rewards. And they also has to put up with a grumpy, bitchy wife who's always tired and stressed. So. Yeah.
01:09:27:26 - 01:09:29:09
Daniel Franco
Do you get away much, do you.
01:09:29:11 - 01:09:35:15
Alisa Fraser
Oh yeah, we do. We always play back from Bali and yeah we, we got lots of nice family holidays and.
01:09:35:20 - 01:09:37:20
Daniel Franco
Do structure that in regularly. Is it something.
01:09:37:20 - 01:09:51:00
Alisa Fraser
That. It's a last minute thing. Yeah. It's like literally Bali was like two weeks planning. We did do knew, but that's only because I wanted to be there for my 40th. And other than that, no.
01:09:51:02 - 01:09:57:26
Daniel Franco
It's so, you know, you and I both have a mutual contact. Joel Abraham, He told me that the moment he gets back, you are going to.
01:09:57:28 - 01:09:59:19
Alisa Fraser
Yes, I know. Yes.
01:09:59:19 - 01:10:01:12
Daniel Franco
I hope people like that.
01:10:01:15 - 01:10:07:25
Alisa Fraser
We hope we hate him. I know he was telling me the same thing. Yeah. Like, don't talk to me.
01:10:07:27 - 01:10:13:28
Daniel Franco
But it makes sense, right? Because then it gives you actually something to work hard. So you go hard for that three months and then you're on.
01:10:14:00 - 01:10:27:20
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, I think different as well. Like three and a half years. And business is still really young. Yeah. And with the rapid growth that we're having and forecast it to have, you know, over the next five years.
01:10:27:22 - 01:10:29:15
Daniel Franco
Forecasts have what, over the next five years.
01:10:29:16 - 01:10:30:07
Alisa Fraser
The growth.
01:10:30:07 - 01:10:30:12
Daniel Franco
And you.
01:10:30:12 - 01:10:36:08
Alisa Fraser
Tell us oh like it has to be $100 million business. Yeah in five years has to be yeah.
01:10:36:10 - 01:10:38:07
Daniel Franco
And is that when you say has to be.
01:10:38:10 - 01:10:38:28
Alisa Fraser
Well because.
01:10:38:28 - 01:10:40:14
Daniel Franco
You've got your hands tied and it has to be.
01:10:40:14 - 01:10:41:16
Alisa Fraser
Or not just has to be your.
01:10:41:16 - 01:10:41:27
Daniel Franco
Ultimate.
01:10:41:27 - 01:10:44:06
Alisa Fraser
Goal Has to be yes. To be love.
01:10:44:08 - 01:10:46:19
Daniel Franco
Yeah it has to be.
01:10:46:19 - 01:11:10:23
Alisa Fraser
Say it will be. Yeah, Yeah it will be. So because I've got such strong visions and we are still young and we're through that really important growth stage, then I am probably in a different position to Joel is established. Oh yeah. You know, he, yeah, he's, you know, he's funny. Yeah, he's, he's done what he's had to do.
01:11:10:25 - 01:11:25:18
Alisa Fraser
So until I get to that point, I don't think that I'll be one of those people that. Yeah, you know, Yeah. We have to have family holidays every year. But I'm not one of those people that just get back. It's like, Yeah.
01:11:25:21 - 01:11:30:13
Daniel Franco
I think the switch off is important. Oh, because we're going to hit burnout.
01:11:30:16 - 01:11:33:11
Alisa Fraser
Oh, I'm sorry. Nearly there. Yeah.
01:11:33:13 - 01:11:36:04
Daniel Franco
So you know that the time is now for you.
01:11:36:05 - 01:11:50:07
Alisa Fraser
And I was actually just thinking about booking a four day retreat in the hinterlands in Queensland where there's like, no technology. It's all healthy eating, it's meditation, it's visualization, what you see. So. Mm. Oh, that's brilliant. Yeah.
01:11:50:10 - 01:11:51:26
Daniel Franco
If you find them. Is there a location.
01:11:51:26 - 01:12:03:17
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, there is, Yeah. Yeah. Um, yeah, looks amazing, but yeah, just to like zone and just really work hard again. What you want. Well, you know, having that time is, I think.
01:12:03:17 - 01:12:23:26
Daniel Franco
You and I both in the same sort of area of our career, you've probably got a hundred million. I don't have that number in my, in my head, but the there is a point where I've been getting tone. I mean, I use a lot of mentors. I speak to a lot of people. Yeah. So I'm very lucky in the fact that, you know, I've almost 100 on mentors.
01:12:23:26 - 01:12:34:16
Daniel Franco
We don't know 100 over 100 podcasts. Yeah. Where? And one thing that keeps coming back to me time and time again is that thinking time.
01:12:34:18 - 01:12:34:27
Alisa Fraser
Yes.
01:12:34:28 - 01:12:36:25
Daniel Franco
Probably the most important thing.
01:12:36:29 - 01:12:48:11
Alisa Fraser
Uh huh, yeah. Hundred percent. And we know it. Yeah, we bloody know that. No, but do we actually do a it's no we don't. Who's got time. It's got time.
01:12:48:18 - 01:12:49:25
Daniel Franco
That's the part that really.
01:12:49:29 - 01:12:50:21
Alisa Fraser
Yes. Yeah.
01:12:50:21 - 01:12:59:10
Daniel Franco
It's like I don't know when I'm going to fit this universe. No I need to do it. Yes. It's like eating healthy. Yeah I know I need a healthy but there's some chocolate there.
01:12:59:13 - 01:13:01:15
Alisa Fraser
And it's easier to go out and get takeaway.
01:13:01:16 - 01:13:04:14
Daniel Franco
Because I'm over it. By far the best.
01:13:04:15 - 01:13:09:03
Alisa Fraser
I've been in my life. I've literally have not been on unlike.
01:13:09:05 - 01:13:12:23
Daniel Franco
Yeah, yeah. I'm just going on a health kick at the moment myself as well.
01:13:12:24 - 01:13:14:02
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
01:13:14:04 - 01:13:29:17
Daniel Franco
So you know, thinking time, not having structured but that's what you're saying right. When you even if you go away, I almost can certainly guarantee that if you go to the Queensland hinterland, meditate, whatever you've got, you've put, Yeah. Those four days you come up with a new.
01:13:29:17 - 01:13:33:00
Alisa Fraser
Design 100, 100%, so.
01:13:33:00 - 01:13:34:01
Daniel Franco
Why don't we do it more often.
01:13:34:01 - 01:13:45:08
Alisa Fraser
I know, I know, I know. Some people don't struggle with that type of thing. Uh, yeah, I there's so many things that I know I need to do better, but it's just one foot in front of the other.
01:13:45:08 - 01:13:48:23
Daniel Franco
Survival in an earlier. We're learning. Well, yeah, I've learned.
01:13:48:23 - 01:13:56:06
Alisa Fraser
Well, yeah, yeah yeah well learning and yeah that's well yeah, yeah.
01:13:56:08 - 01:14:01:11
Daniel Franco
Now we originally met. When was it. When was the 40 under 40 or.
01:14:01:11 - 01:14:07:11
Alisa Fraser
Maybe six months ago. I don't know. But this has gone the fastest year ever.
01:14:07:14 - 01:14:08:21
Daniel Franco
The more money you make, the faster the.
01:14:08:28 - 01:14:10:20
Alisa Fraser
Is that right. Okay.
01:14:10:23 - 01:14:21:00
Daniel Franco
That's why I'm going really slow. Is so 40 and 40. Congrats. You won the first among equals award which like, is the top gong.
01:14:21:02 - 01:14:38:24
Alisa Fraser
Oh, I just couldn't believe it. I thought maybe I'd stand a chance with the female entrepreneur. Yeah. And then when that got taken up, as I'm out, I'm out. And I. There was not even one inch of like per cent of me that was like, I've got, I've got this one.
01:14:38:27 - 01:14:39:06
Daniel Franco
Like.
01:14:39:12 - 01:14:44:03
Alisa Fraser
Know, I don't know. You look at all those people up there, the 40 people up there and they're like, But.
01:14:44:04 - 01:14:48:14
Daniel Franco
They're all looking at you. You're on 200,000 followers. Oh, you know.
01:14:48:21 - 01:14:50:05
Alisa Fraser
Followers don't make it successful.
01:14:50:06 - 01:14:51:10
Daniel Franco
I think, in business.
01:14:51:10 - 01:15:02:01
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, right. Yeah. I just. I just didn't even think I would be in the running. So honestly, when they called my name, it was. It was such a big shock.
01:15:02:03 - 01:15:04:08
Daniel Franco
Fabulous. Well, very, very well deserved.
01:15:04:09 - 01:15:05:14
Alisa Fraser
Thank you.
01:15:05:16 - 01:15:08:17
Daniel Franco
How come your sister didn't put a name in the ring?
01:15:08:20 - 01:15:28:09
Alisa Fraser
Okay, we've had fights over this. Yeah, because I honestly thought that we couldn't apply together. We had applied the previous year. Yeah, as a as a as a duo. So, like, the question's a messenger that got in. I know there was a question that was there, the questions of formatted of what's your position in the business? What's your.
01:15:28:12 - 01:15:46:06
Alisa Fraser
And so we didn't even get a look in the before. And then so I encouraged Cassandra to apply separately and she didn't have the time, so she didn't do it. And then at the end of it, we realized that we could well, we got told that we could apply together. So she wasn't very happy with me that not.
01:15:46:08 - 01:15:48:13
Daniel Franco
Top Gong and you see. Yeah.
01:15:48:16 - 01:15:57:22
Alisa Fraser
But I've learned since we've just been shortlisted for the Smart 50, well done. And that's together. God forbid I ever do that again.
01:15:57:25 - 01:16:03:18
Daniel Franco
Let you know because your houses are next door. Yeah. Yeah. Just put the award on the winning.
01:16:03:19 - 01:16:19:19
Alisa Fraser
Oh, oh, well and truly. Okay, Well, you know what? She represented interior design. She'd just won the the Polytech South Australia Design Awards. So, you know.
01:16:19:22 - 01:16:20:14
Daniel Franco
Well done.
01:16:20:16 - 01:16:22:26
Alisa Fraser
That's how it is. All of that. That's not me.
01:16:22:27 - 01:16:25:03
Daniel Franco
Look, your success is her success.
01:16:25:03 - 01:16:29:15
Alisa Fraser
Absolutely. Hundred percent. 100%.
01:16:29:18 - 01:16:47:03
Daniel Franco
So for those who are looking to start their own and grow and then you you mentioned the female entrepreneur Early award. Female entrepreneurship is one thing that is not as common as the male. I know the statistics.
01:16:47:03 - 01:16:50:18
Alisa Fraser
And yeah, yeah, it's really, really, really low. Um.
01:16:50:21 - 01:16:58:06
Daniel Franco
And from my understanding, we've had the likes of Kelis from Edible Balloons and Tammy from my but.
01:16:58:08 - 01:16:58:15
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
01:16:58:16 - 01:17:14:06
Daniel Franco
Yeah, some amazing female entrepreneurs on the show, they've all said the same thing. It's really difficult how well what's your advice to those especially female who are looking to build a brand as powerful as the one that you've created?
01:17:14:09 - 01:17:41:03
Alisa Fraser
Um, I think you have to listen to your intuition. You have to do what you want to do. Don't be forced to do something because someone's told you to do something. If it doesn't feel right in your gut, don't do it. If nobody can tell you what your vision is. And plenty of people tried to tell me the the family tried to tell me the market saturated or even the graphic designer that I used at the beginning.
01:17:41:03 - 01:18:03:24
Alisa Fraser
No change to the bottle like this. Do it this way. And I just held strong because it was my vision. None of you guys have got this vision in your head, so don't turn around and try and tell me how to. It's my vision. It's my vision. And I think that's probably like the biggest thing. If you've got your own vision, don't let people tell you you can't do it.
01:18:03:24 - 01:18:35:29
Alisa Fraser
Don't Let somebody try and talk you out of it or do it a different way. Yeah, stand strong. Don't feel like you know, just because you knew or you're your female or you can't put your foot down and and just surround yourself with like minded people. Yeah I think that's and that's what I'm starting to try and do more and more of is just talking and mating and taking every opportunity to learn and Yeah yeah, yeah.
01:18:36:01 - 01:18:54:08
Daniel Franco
Do you you know, you talk about your vision and you have spoken about your vision throughout the podcast quite powerfully and intuition. Do you, do you ever get scared or fear the repercussion by saying something like, Oh, this will become 100 million.
01:18:54:08 - 01:18:55:16
Alisa Fraser
Dollar business now.
01:18:55:18 - 01:18:56:02
Daniel Franco
And not me?
01:18:56:05 - 01:18:59:10
Alisa Fraser
No, because I know it will be.
01:18:59:12 - 01:19:00:21
Daniel Franco
You just it's so ingrained.
01:19:00:21 - 01:19:09:04
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, I know it will be. I knew it would take off. Not once did I ever doubt that this would work. Not once.
01:19:09:07 - 01:19:11:22
Daniel Franco
So then why do you fear the market crashing? And.
01:19:11:25 - 01:19:40:01
Alisa Fraser
Uh. Yeah, that. That's. That's. That's a good point. If I was truly. That's your day to day responsibility of your rent and Yeah. Workers and. Yeah, but when you see, when you ask me and you tell me to see what it looks like in five years, I'm not thinking of that. Yeah. I'm thinking of where this is going to be and what I know in my got and as well as that.
01:19:40:01 - 01:20:07:24
Alisa Fraser
And that's what I see. Good point because I know everything will work out. Mm. I know that. So when I have these days where you're tired something's gone wrong. Yeah. That's good. And, and anxious, that's when the doubt creeps in. But when you step back from that and you're like, honestly, if you ask me 100% because I know it can be.
01:20:07:26 - 01:20:08:17
Daniel Franco
Yeah.
01:20:08:20 - 01:20:18:06
Alisa Fraser
And it, it it's just it has to be it's so loved here in Australia. Why the hell wouldn't it be loved everywhere around obviously, you know, different demographic.
01:20:18:06 - 01:20:18:22
Daniel Franco
Know.
01:20:18:25 - 01:20:33:15
Alisa Fraser
Demographic and different types. But you know, it doesn't mean that in Japan, if they want a red bottle or whatever the color is in there, that we don't create it over there. You can change your products just so you know. Overseas market.
01:20:33:16 - 01:20:53:12
Daniel Franco
Yeah No I, I love your confidence in it and I think it just keeps going back to the point is that you should be the visionary of your business and not the person that's sitting there getting worried and anxious about the day to day feedback conversation that you're going to have to give someone, Right? Like that's the the crux of it all.
01:20:53:16 - 01:21:02:21
Daniel Franco
Um, do you think, do you think that without the block that the brand could have been as big as it.
01:21:02:26 - 01:21:09:19
Alisa Fraser
Definitely could have been, but it would have taken longer? Yeah, 100%. 100% might have taken twice.
01:21:09:19 - 01:21:12:20
Daniel Franco
You think it would have existed if it wasn't for the book? I mean. I mean.
01:21:12:20 - 01:21:15:16
Alisa Fraser
Cause. Yeah. Yeah. My way. No. Why?
01:21:15:16 - 01:21:19:08
Daniel Franco
Because that's where your ideas were born out of the journeys. The journey? Yeah.
01:21:19:15 - 01:21:22:11
Alisa Fraser
100%. No way. Yeah. No.
01:21:22:14 - 01:21:27:27
Daniel Franco
So there's so that decision of on that application days, that is the most pivotal point your life.
01:21:28:03 - 01:21:36:07
Alisa Fraser
We even said on the audition tape where. Listen, listen, um, we're going to be the winners of the world 2008. That was that winning line.
01:21:36:09 - 01:21:36:29
Daniel Franco
Yeah. Wow.
01:21:36:29 - 01:21:38:10
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
01:21:38:12 - 01:21:43:20
Daniel Franco
What did the what did they say to you when you actually made it on? Like, what did you do?
01:21:43:23 - 01:21:50:29
Alisa Fraser
We were in our police uniforms. Oh, you know, you got two twins in police uniforms. Oh, you're not going to get a look in. Yeah.
01:21:51:02 - 01:21:53:05
Daniel Franco
And then you play these strings.
01:21:53:06 - 01:21:53:17
Alisa Fraser
We play?
01:21:53:17 - 01:21:57:12
Daniel Franco
Yeah, but when they actually rang, you go. You come on on the show.
01:21:57:14 - 01:22:10:06
Alisa Fraser
Oh, yeah. No, I. We auditioned here and say because I shortlist you. Yeah. And walked out of the audition. I was like, we've got this must, must not just, I don't know. And I was like, Yeah, we've got this wasn't a shadow of a doubt.
01:22:10:08 - 01:22:12:24
Daniel Franco
So you take your badge off when you did. I mean, there's something.
01:22:12:28 - 01:22:15:03
Alisa Fraser
On a uniform, you know. Yeah.
01:22:15:08 - 01:22:17:08
Daniel Franco
So no guns on, you know.
01:22:17:10 - 01:22:23:08
Alisa Fraser
Just a back to back, back to back with the whole, like, hands together, blowing out a gun.
01:22:23:08 - 01:22:24:07
Daniel Franco
Charlie's Angels.
01:22:24:07 - 01:22:28:20
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, Charlie's Angels. So.
01:22:28:22 - 01:23:00:29
Daniel Franco
Um, I'm conscious of the time We won't take up too much to, I think. Oh just closing thoughts before we get into some some quickfire questions that we have at the end of the show. If you had to sort of encapsulate your entire journey into a single listener, a message that, you know, someone who wants to start their own business could be what what is that single lesson a message that you would give them?
01:23:01:01 - 01:23:33:24
Alisa Fraser
Um, it's not easy. Mm. You have to work fucking hard and you have to be prepared to outwork anybody. And that's where your true success will come from. And it was on, and I've been working out this is off for the last 11 years, every single day, and it doesn't happen overnight. Even with a reality TV show winning White Australia's number one reality TV show.
01:23:33:27 - 01:23:48:13
Alisa Fraser
Even with that and and too many people quit too soon. Yeah. And if you're willing to quit too soon, you're not cut out for it. I work for somebody I am.
01:23:48:16 - 01:24:05:08
Daniel Franco
I love this quote that I kind of can't remember who said it, to be honest, I it it's the the too easy is this to sorry the two hardest things in life. One is to start. Yeah the second is to not quit.
01:24:05:11 - 01:24:05:27
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
01:24:06:00 - 01:24:28:01
Daniel Franco
And it's like absolutely when it comes to the business. Yeah. Yeah. And I mean, even sport applies to everything, right? It's like actually just getting up off your ass and doing something and doing it day in, day out. And really, and I keep thinking about the Have you ever seen it was like a meme or something where there's someone digging and digging for gold.
01:24:28:01 - 01:24:28:21
Daniel Franco
Have you seen it?
01:24:28:25 - 01:24:31:29
Alisa Fraser
Is that their life in the Diving Entrepreneur well enough?
01:24:32:01 - 01:24:40:21
Daniel Franco
I don't know the title of it, but if we go to if we don't, there's two people digging for gold actually side by side, one seeing, one seeing me, and one gets about.
01:24:40:21 - 01:24:43:08
Alisa Fraser
Like, Oh, right, sure. Yeah, yeah. You know what.
01:24:43:08 - 01:24:43:25
Daniel Franco
I'm talking about.
01:24:43:25 - 01:24:46:20
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, well, if that just kept going. Yeah, just a.
01:24:46:20 - 01:24:47:22
Daniel Franco
Couple of more strokes of that.
01:24:47:22 - 01:24:49:21
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, they would have been, they would have been there but they.
01:24:49:21 - 01:25:01:13
Daniel Franco
Gave up and. Yeah. And every time get into that position I'm going, I'm fucking, I've had enough here. You just go. And then the next day something pops up.
01:25:01:15 - 01:25:18:01
Alisa Fraser
Who. Hundred percent. And that's, that goes back to the same I was talking about the day in the life of an entrepreneur is like, Oh my God, I'm winning. I'm killing it. Next minute it's like, Oh, what's going on? And there's like 20 different emotions in one day. It's such a rollercoaster.
01:25:18:03 - 01:25:19:21
Daniel Franco
I am based in the same.
01:25:19:21 - 01:25:26:25
Alisa Fraser
That poor partners like seriously Husband has to put up with like 20 different personalities. Yeah.
01:25:26:28 - 01:25:29:22
Daniel Franco
My, my wife often says to me, he's like, Who's coming home tonight?
01:25:29:22 - 01:25:53:08
Alisa Fraser
I know. And you can see her actually, probably not Something I should laugh at, but you can see it when they open the door. How was your day like this? Is that poor? And sometimes you don't ask me. And then it's like, Oh my goodness, I like his. And he raises her like I go in the one that's brilliant.
01:25:53:11 - 01:25:57:20
Daniel Franco
What what excites you about the future?
01:25:57:22 - 01:26:27:08
Alisa Fraser
Oh, I'm just going internationally and. And yeah, that, that's a, that's my goal. That's what excites me. Obviously, having more time with the family, I'd love to buy acreage somewhere now that we've built the beach now on acreage, just isn't it Skype kids going to have to have bikes and you know, just just be back to nature. It's the simple things, right?
01:26:27:09 - 01:26:57:05
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. And I love nature and that's a life was inspired by nature as well. So I think just living a bit of a slower pace and and it's funny, like the more successful you become and the more money you have, the more you actually realize it's the small things in life that bring you the most joy. Yeah. And I mean, I shot myself in a new car and we've just built these beautiful homes and it's like none of it's made me happier.
01:26:57:09 - 01:26:57:26
Alisa Fraser
No.
01:26:57:28 - 01:26:58:20
Daniel Franco
It's fleeting.
01:26:58:21 - 01:27:17:19
Alisa Fraser
It's fleeting, and it's just like, I enjoy it, don't get me wrong, But it's like, what makes me happy is being able to take a deep breath and spend. Go for a bushwalk with the family. Yeah. Or catching up with family and friends. And that's what truly makes my heart sing. And I want more of that.
01:27:17:20 - 01:27:34:22
Daniel Franco
I often say that my first job is being a basketball dad. Yeah. And the second one is See? Yeah. This company I the the joy and love I have just going to watch my kids play sport. Yeah. Just being with them is by far and away the one thing that I would want to do.
01:27:34:28 - 01:27:36:01
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
01:27:36:03 - 01:27:37:08
Daniel Franco
Um.
01:27:37:10 - 01:28:02:12
Alisa Fraser
But it's a balance, right? Yeah. I mean, I could never be a stay at home mom, ever. And then I just couldn't, like, I'm doing, you know, crazy hours now. It's a balance, isn't I? It's finding that that right amount of time where you can feel you back it up. Mhm and still have time for yourself and your family, but still achieve your goals personally, because I think that's really important as well.
01:28:02:12 - 01:28:04:20
Daniel Franco
Like, oh, that they're looking after you and how you.
01:28:04:20 - 01:28:17:25
Alisa Fraser
Have to look after yourself as well. It's not all about the kids, your husband and your workers and the business. You actually do have to have time for you. Yes. When I get my massages and like I do that type of things.
01:28:17:25 - 01:28:18:17
Daniel Franco
Queensland.
01:28:18:17 - 01:28:21:02
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. Yeah. Do you book that yet.
01:28:21:02 - 01:28:23:15
Daniel Franco
But it's the, it's the, the leaky bucket scenario.
01:28:23:15 - 01:28:23:19
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
01:28:23:20 - 01:28:56:23
Daniel Franco
Right. Whereas you've got if you got the house and the bucket plug the more water you put in. Yeah. It fills you bucket. Right. Whereas if there's the holes. Yeah. Get as much water in, not, not going to do anything. So yeah I do, I do believe you're right. Um, what about you personally outside of business and the, of body and everything else that you do with the block and still this day, what are your own personal aspirations and goals.
01:28:56:25 - 01:29:13:04
Alisa Fraser
To travel the world? Yeah. Yeah. I have this burning desire just to go and see the world. Okay. I'd love to pull the kids out of school and do an American road trip and expose them to different cultures and.
01:29:13:09 - 01:29:15:02
Daniel Franco
Chevy, Chevy Chase.
01:29:15:05 - 01:29:40:22
Alisa Fraser
And look something like that. That's what it looks like in my head. And yeah, it's traveling the world and, and, and acreage is what I like for myself and obviously for my family. But that's where I'll if I could paint a picture of what my life would be like, how perfect I could make it. That's what it would be.
01:29:40:24 - 01:29:42:11
Alisa Fraser
Yeah. Brilliant. Yeah.
01:29:42:13 - 01:29:46:17
Daniel Franco
Well if your business does go worldwide, then it's all taxes.
01:29:46:19 - 01:29:54:10
Alisa Fraser
And I'm like, How can I buy my first class? And you don't a trip in April. I'm sure I can.
01:29:54:12 - 01:29:56:03
Daniel Franco
Just organize a couple of business meetings.
01:29:56:05 - 01:30:00:17
Alisa Fraser
Well, there is. There is actually a couple I could go to and I might just have to make the there's.
01:30:00:17 - 01:30:01:02
Daniel Franco
A conference.
01:30:01:02 - 01:30:03:21
Alisa Fraser
Of the day. I'll put the day aside for.
01:30:03:24 - 01:30:14:28
Daniel Franco
Absolutely right here. Now, we'll we'll get into it. And quickfire question, guys, before we finish off the podcast is where be great as he do.
01:30:15:00 - 01:30:29:28
Alisa Fraser
I'm more of an A book and then I'm terrible at remembering titles but I think probably the one that I've read recently, I've listened to a few rocketfuel Have you.
01:30:30:00 - 01:30:32:13
Daniel Franco
Rocketfuel I've been told about this, know.
01:30:32:20 - 01:31:00:15
Alisa Fraser
About integrators and it's about visionaries and it's about what you need in your business to create the perfect business. Okay, so I am obviously the visionary and there's only a certain percentage of us in the world and there's only a certain percentage of integrators in the world. And when you connect, that's when the magic happens. But there's only like six or 7% of people that are proper integrators, okay?
01:31:00:18 - 01:31:22:12
Alisa Fraser
And that's just about obviously a structure of your business. And, and because I think where I got out before my time, I was finding like really frustrating that I was a visionary and I had to be integrating and pulling everything together and naturally that's not where I sit. Yeah, that was.
01:31:22:19 - 01:31:23:22
Daniel Franco
That's where you burnout.
01:31:23:24 - 01:31:26:05
Alisa Fraser
That's, that's been. Especially if it's not your passion.
01:31:26:06 - 01:31:30:25
Daniel Franco
That's why I'm saying because it's not your passion and the reason why you go if your passion about Yeah.
01:31:30:28 - 01:31:34:19
Alisa Fraser
Yeah it's and then you get this pent up resentment towards as.
01:31:34:19 - 01:31:37:08
Daniel Franco
Well and that's when you start hiding and that's when.
01:31:37:08 - 01:31:40:13
Alisa Fraser
You. Yeah. But that's that book I felt like that was written for me.
01:31:40:14 - 01:31:46:00
Daniel Franco
Yeah. Right. Rocket fuel. Beautiful. Yeah. Is there any other podcast or.
01:31:46:03 - 01:32:04:22
Alisa Fraser
I am subscribed to a lot of business podcasts. I like. It's called Small Business. Small Marketing. And let me just open up, um, on how I built this.
01:32:04:29 - 01:32:06:16
Daniel Franco
Oh yeah, I love how I.
01:32:06:18 - 01:32:11:02
Alisa Fraser

01:32:11:09 - 01:32:11:21
Daniel Franco
Like that.
01:32:11:21 - 01:32:15:26
Alisa Fraser
Right? The Financial Review, Straight Talk with Matt Burress, How I made it.
01:32:16:01 - 01:32:19:27
Daniel Franco
Yeah, now I made it's financial reviews in it.
01:32:20:00 - 01:32:37:14
Alisa Fraser
That's financial reviews. Yep. I'm the Frankie Leahy is a UK podcaster is that's not too bad the no bullshit latest the no leadership. Oh yeah it's good cause there are any like 10 minutes the mentor with worse.
01:32:37:16 - 01:32:39:05
Daniel Franco
It must go some good.
01:32:39:08 - 01:32:40:08
Alisa Fraser
Yeah, he does. He gets.
01:32:40:12 - 01:32:41:07
Daniel Franco
Have you been on.
01:32:41:10 - 01:33:00:15
Alisa Fraser
No, no. And the business The Small business Big marketing podcast. That was probably. I listen to that more prior to, you know, getting a bit bigger in business. But I think as a start up, that one's good. And the Founder podcast right?
01:33:00:16 - 01:33:04:26
Daniel Franco
Yeah. Yeah you are you at the RNC are there.
01:33:05:03 - 01:33:05:28
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
01:33:06:00 - 01:33:08:25
Daniel Franco
Which is that's the best one man.
01:33:08:28 - 01:33:10:20
Alisa Fraser
Oh yeah yeah.
01:33:10:23 - 01:33:15:05
Daniel Franco
But I'm surprised you haven't caught on to Alex and what's his stuff. Yeah.
01:33:15:06 - 01:33:17:14
Alisa Fraser
What's so cool. Um.
01:33:17:16 - 01:33:37:27
Daniel Franco
Uh, what's this podcast called on, on This is we're live recording here. We're looking across names. It's fun. It's all good. Uh, all because he's got if I. If I was you and you are building a $100 million brand, I would listen to everything.
01:33:37:28 - 01:33:40:20
Alisa Fraser
Alex Dapper Alex. I'm in the game of this.
01:33:40:23 - 01:33:54:15
Daniel Franco
The game? The game by Alex and Mozzie, and he actually gives away all his stuff for free. He's got a book, and he's put both books live free on Spotify that you can just listen to.
01:33:54:18 - 01:33:55:15
Alisa Fraser
This is him.
01:33:55:17 - 01:33:56:13
Daniel Franco
That's same.
01:33:56:15 - 01:33:56:27
Alisa Fraser
Way.
01:33:56:27 - 01:33:59:02
Daniel Franco
Thank you. Massive on tick tock message.
01:33:59:02 - 01:34:03:21
Alisa Fraser
Oh, wow. Oh, I just love it. Um, I'm obsessed.
01:34:03:23 - 01:34:18:27
Daniel Franco
So he's $100 Million Leads is his new book, but $100 million Offers is his first book. And he basically he's teaching you how to set up your offers and then how to get more leads to build a $100 million business like it is.
01:34:18:27 - 01:34:20:00
Alisa Fraser
So he has a book out.
01:34:20:01 - 01:34:24:27
Daniel Franco
What if he's got two books? He's got a podcast, but the books are free on the podcast, so.
01:34:25:00 - 01:34:26:08
Alisa Fraser
I don't have to.
01:34:26:11 - 01:34:27:00
Daniel Franco
He just gives every.
01:34:27:02 - 01:34:27:24
Alisa Fraser
Way.
01:34:27:27 - 01:34:34:11
Daniel Franco
But follow him on to talk phone. I love him and his wife, Leila. I love her. Moses She's fabulous.
01:34:34:11 - 01:34:35:07
Alisa Fraser
Okay.
01:34:35:10 - 01:34:40:20
Daniel Franco
Essentially they built a gym gym empire and then now they actually invest in businesses.
01:34:40:24 - 01:34:42:01
Alisa Fraser
All right. Okay.
01:34:42:02 - 01:34:44:11
Daniel Franco
But for someone like yourself who.
01:34:44:13 - 01:34:44:28
Alisa Fraser
Lost one.
01:34:44:28 - 01:34:49:09
Daniel Franco
Hundred million. Yeah, right. As your target. Yeah, That's the title of the book.
01:34:49:09 - 01:34:50:00
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
01:34:50:02 - 01:34:51:16
Daniel Franco
$100 million Office.
01:34:51:16 - 01:34:52:27
Alisa Fraser
Okay.
01:34:52:29 - 01:35:08:02
Daniel Franco
Um, right. Next. Next question is a quick fire, and we've taken. So what's one lesson that's taking the longest to learn.
01:35:08:04 - 01:35:28:13
Alisa Fraser
That not just because you have the dedication and drive and certain qualities, it doesn't mean that everyone else is. Yeah. Yeah. And I just don't get let down by people just because they don't meet your standards.
01:35:28:15 - 01:35:28:24
Daniel Franco
You know?
01:35:28:24 - 01:35:30:07
Alisa Fraser
They never will, you know?
01:35:30:09 - 01:35:33:17
Daniel Franco
Not especially not in your business. They're not going to have the passion that you have.
01:35:33:18 - 01:35:34:15
Alisa Fraser
No.
01:35:34:17 - 01:35:46:15
Daniel Franco
That's hard to learn. Yeah, I agree. If you could have coffee with anyone historical current, who would it be?
01:35:46:17 - 01:36:02:25
Alisa Fraser
Card Um, to be someone business related, like Richard Branson or someone of that caliber? Yeah, I someone that Brian is just So.
01:36:02:28 - 01:36:08:06
Daniel Franco
Branson started a few brands Oh you get there and to invest as well.
01:36:08:09 - 01:36:11:03
Alisa Fraser
You give me all these ideas.
01:36:11:06 - 01:36:15:10
Daniel Franco
Uh, what's some of the best advice you've ever received?
01:36:15:12 - 01:36:22:16
Alisa Fraser
Uh oh, I have received a lot.
01:36:22:18 - 01:36:24:24
Daniel Franco
Do you have a mentor or my.
01:36:24:27 - 01:36:45:07
Alisa Fraser
Yes, I. I'm a member behind closed doors. I got a mentor that the best advice to concentrate on what you are doing and don't look back because that's when you slow down. Mhm.
01:36:45:09 - 01:36:45:26
Daniel Franco
Focus.
01:36:46:01 - 01:36:48:12
Alisa Fraser
Yeah.
01:36:48:14 - 01:36:52:24
Daniel Franco
What's one habit that holds you back the most?
01:36:52:26 - 01:37:05:08
Alisa Fraser
Like procrastination, not procrastination. Having a hundred tabs open on the computer and wanting to do 100 tasks. The shiny thing hundred percent the shiny thing 100%.
01:37:05:11 - 01:37:10:06
Daniel Franco
What's the, what's your biggest pet peeve. What pisses you off the most.
01:37:10:08 - 01:37:12:06
Alisa Fraser
Fucking lazy people.
01:37:12:09 - 01:37:13:13
Daniel Franco
Not just lazy people.
01:37:13:17 - 01:37:21:10
Alisa Fraser
But like lazy people and like stuff coming in. Like, I'm like, really?
01:37:21:18 - 01:37:22:18
Daniel Franco
You're like a 9 to 5?
01:37:22:19 - 01:37:41:05
Alisa Fraser
Because I was that growing up, I worked my ass off at people's businesses. I gave went above and beyond. I just had a really high standard for myself and I hold the same standards. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
01:37:41:07 - 01:37:45:25
Daniel Franco
Is that do you think the placing it's got something to do with that as well. Like the real.
01:37:45:27 - 01:37:50:15
Alisa Fraser
Regimented. Yeah. I just think that's my personality. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
01:37:50:18 - 01:37:55:10
Daniel Franco
Don't go and start building a culture like the one that you didn't want to build though.
01:37:55:13 - 01:37:56:09
Alisa Fraser
What was that?
01:37:56:09 - 01:37:59:03
Daniel Franco
Oh, you said the reason why people leave is because the.
01:37:59:05 - 01:38:25:10
Alisa Fraser
Oh, yeah, I know, But the thing is, right? Yeah, the thing is you set your expectations. Everybody in your, in your workforce knows what your expectations are and then they, you non-negotiables and they choose, they know what they are. So it's not that's not I'm not asking anything that I wouldn't ask of myself or that is unreasonable or and that that that I rock up you know.
01:38:25:15 - 01:38:26:03
Daniel Franco
It's working.
01:38:26:06 - 01:38:40:05
Alisa Fraser
Oh it's working. None of them rock up like none of them. But I'm just saying, like, even outside of that, I just it's, it's laziness. It's people being sloppy or taking a shortcut just because everyone's looking. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:38:40:05 - 01:38:45:09
Daniel Franco
That's the worst. If you could pay someone to do one of your chores, which chore would it be?
01:38:45:12 - 01:38:47:18
Alisa Fraser
Oh, it's my emails.
01:38:47:21 - 01:38:48:04
Daniel Franco
Is that a.
01:38:48:04 - 01:38:51:09
Alisa Fraser
Chore? Yeah, right. Yeah.
01:38:51:11 - 01:38:55:27
Daniel Franco
What's one word that you absolutely hate?
01:38:56:00 - 01:39:05:29
Alisa Fraser
Uh, um, I can't. Yeah, that's true. That's true. It can't.
01:39:06:01 - 01:39:18:12
Daniel Franco
Count. Yeah. My parents growing up the number one thing that they drummed into my head more than anything else was there's no such word as can't. Yeah. And so literally, I live with that.
01:39:18:14 - 01:39:20:23
Alisa Fraser
That's not you can figure out anything I.
01:39:20:23 - 01:39:24:09
Daniel Franco
Great I've always and I think it's with a sense of optimism it's always comes is like what do you.
01:39:24:09 - 01:39:30:12
Alisa Fraser
Mean yeah not sure where you can figure out anything anything. There's always a solution.
01:39:30:12 - 01:39:37:19
Daniel Franco
I agree. What's the first thing is what's the first thing you would do if you became invisible?
01:39:37:22 - 01:39:40:24
Alisa Fraser
Invisible? Yeah.
01:39:40:26 - 01:39:44:06
Alisa Fraser
Um.
01:39:44:08 - 01:40:11:01
Alisa Fraser
Go. I wouldn't want to be a fly on the wall because I wouldn't. If people were talking about me, I wouldn't want to hear that. So I wouldn't want to just, like, listen in on people. Um, I become invisible. Oh, God. There's got to be some kind of information that could, like, benefit benefit me. I could, like, stand behind someone that had computer open or had the magic answer.
01:40:11:03 - 01:40:11:19
Daniel Franco
The lottery.
01:40:11:19 - 01:40:19:20
Alisa Fraser
Numbers. The lottery is something like that. Or it's like secret like service level.
01:40:19:23 - 01:40:24:03
Daniel Franco
What's the most useless talent that you have?
01:40:24:06 - 01:40:45:02
Alisa Fraser
Um, well, I can't put my eyeballs out to it or not. I'm. I don't really have any good karaoke. I don't really have any useless talents. You.
01:40:45:04 - 01:40:46:13

Alisa Fraser
Oh, God, no, I'm not. I can't pull out these one liners. I'll hear jokes and I'll be like, I'm to remember that I'm bad at telling them as well.
01:41:10:15 - 01:41:11:10
Daniel Franco
Next minute.
01:41:11:12 - 01:41:18:13
Alisa Fraser

01:41:28:03 - 01:41:28:14
Daniel Franco
